A lot of people have a lot of suggestions for specific soils but I use rockwool and clay balls, look em up on ebay.
But make sure you get this thread out cause you'll want to get more info on those 'specific' soils.

Easy solution is go to your local garden centre and get some soil for growing tomato's in, that's what I used and it was great. The nutrients are about right for the vegetating stage of growth and they're used up by flowering time anyway.

As sativer said, have a search and there are threads about which talk about amounts of peat and such. If you want to go more in depth. https://www.rollitup.org/members/sativer-358410.html

I'm using Roots Organics potting soil. I'd read several great reviews on it. This is my first go round with it, but I have to say that it's doing very well.

It was a toss up for me between FF and RO. Do you know anyone that has used RO soil and nutes B4?

There pretty much give the same growth! So if ya want RO go for it!

THere was a grow log some time back that did a side by side comparison and the ff plant did better. but it was even like i said

I'm using the RO soil now. Everything is going well. FF sounded good to me and to tell the truth I can't remember what made me chose RO. All the nutes use bat guano and kelp, I just thought it might do very well.

Like I said the difference between the contents is like pronouncing tomato. Both look good. Thanks for the well wishes. I'll post pictures when she gets some time under her belt. Right now she looks to be doing great.

Do you have an opinion on using molasses with the grow. I'd heard that it should only be done during flowering.
