I fished on the White river for trout a couple weeks ago & caught a largemouth bass & two perch.
Thats a first (I've always only caught Browns, Rainbows & Cutt's), but with all the water (flooding) the river was really warm & these fish had apparently been ejected over the dam. Bet that surprised them !
As the river cools down again they will have to move south to stay alive though.
Nice fish my friend.

i always find bas ina river very odd. our river is mostly salmon, trouts, and steel head and the dreaded sqaw. but i have heard stories of people catching bass out of our river as well.

Mcpurp - thought I'd revive this one for a quick shot of a couple fish. 30 mile 4 wheeler trip (round trip) with some nice Dolly's thrown in for relaxation.
Oh, beer & Bud also (of course !).
And yes, that is a pistol - .500 S & W Mag just because we have really big gophers here.

oh man i thought know one remembered this thread, i was gonna post some stuff on here the other day but did not get to it. ive been catching bass cuzz i cant get down to the river.

thats a great looking fish and looks like a very nice spot to be in, and man a qaud ride in, that had to be one hell of a day

im sure you got some pics of some bass fdd, ive seen a few in your threads.
man i need to get out and go fishing soon or im gonna loose it, fall run of salmon are coming up soon witch also means steely as well

nice kitty fish man. ive always wanted to go fishing for giant cat fish but in oregon i think we only have like 20 inchers at max

those are some great looking bass fdd. ever since i started targeting bass i kinda fell in love for bass fishing, now i just need to learn more baout how to catch them, i catch them every time i go out but not the huge ones

throw a floating topwater plug. twitch it 3 times then stop and count to 5, then twitch it 3 times and repeat. hold on tight. :)

catfishes2.jpg There's 7 of our catch for the day. We each caught at least 20 5lb or larger....was perfect conditions except I was even catching cat on fake worms tryin' to get at the bass.

Wish I had some pics of the ones I had mounted. When I was 8 I caught a 6 lb bass and ever since then they've been my passion, but my dog at my sandisk with all my pics and the last time all we caught were cats lol.

ill have to try that next time i go out, i got a shit ton of gear but only 1 frog for top water action and it seems in summer they love to hit on top. im gonna have to go pick up some new stuff soon.
is theri a plug that you would recommend?
