I would have to agree as far as the latex. The latex takes alot of trichs with it. My wife works for kaiser I get mine free. I only use vinykl or the blue nitrile ones they have. Will have to buy me some pam and give it a try. Keepem green dirrtyd

I second on the PAM trick! it definitely works! i sprayed my scissors and my spin pro grill last year and it works great! just don't go over board on the trimmer grills tho it then it tends to get drippy on the grills.

Yeah ABM mine been there 30 years now. the gurls are looking good at the moment for sure all crystally and thangs smelling good. Cant wait to smoke this blueberry/ogkush cross it smells so good. All 7 gallons are officially rootbound alot of watering and feedingnow to bring them down the home stretch. Will take a pic of the roots at harvest lets see how white I can keep them. Went and looked at a garden yesterday it was amazing to be sitting in the middle of West Oakland. I was impressed for sure he had a very active garden with plants in various stages of flower. they were all a lovely green some would be suprised with what he uses the results amazing. keepem green dirrtydMine too!Free gloves this season.

Well they are yellowing and budding makes me feel good right about now. All of them have enough fan leaves to make it to the end. So I guess this year the more that die off before harvest the less I have to deal with at trim time. On some of these strains i welcome them to go about now. Will be giving the gurls in the ground a couple more feedings then water to the end. The container plants I will take them a little longer on the feeding journey. I see they are going to need a lot of love and help to finish plump like I like my women. enjoy the pics dirrtyd

I can only speak for my plants as far as the yellowing. I leave the yellow leaves on until they fall off when I gently touch them. It is an everyday job but I enjoy being in the back with the gurls. Generally the older the plant and depending on how the plant was fed it should start yellowing as a tree in Autumn. That is something that is debatable in my book Fumble. I find I like this method until I find a better. Now remember also have some plants that stay green until harvest. keepem green dirrtyd

thanks dirrtyd. I have been dealing with a white fly infestation and have had to pull off a lot of leaves. getting that under control though. my PK leaves are starting to yellow though. I have been tugging those off, but will wait till they just come off by touch. thanks man!

The yellowing of the leaves late in flowering is a sign that the plant is using up the sugars stored in the leaves. I know when my girls are done, or close to it when....
1) Most of the hairs turn red/orange and start sucking back into the bud
2) When the Caylaxes swell up and start protruding outward past the hairs.
3) When those fan leaves turn yellow all the way up the buds.
That's when I know she's close. I don't pull the yellow leaves either, just a touch and they fall off.

I used to use Ironite on my garden for the same "trace" minerals until I learned Ironite was made in part from industrial waste. While this is legal, at least in Washington State, it means those mineral traces can include lead, cadmium, and mercury as well. There's a loop hole in the laws that allows industry to sell their waste to fertilizer manufacturers (used to be $120/ton) in lieu of putting it in a landfill ($180/ton I recall) This may have changed by now, but none of the organic gardens I know use it.
You might want to do a little internet research. A Seattle reporter, Duff Wilson, wrote a book that was nominated for a Pulitzer about this issue and Lamb Weston, the potato supplier for McDonalds. It's called "Fateful Harvest" and it's a great read.

Fires are a few miles away from me, thank god, no worries here about the fire. Hot as hell though, 101.8 yesterday, 101.5 the days before that. The girls love it as long as I keep them watered. Watering heavy every other day, brewing up a tea right now and will feed tomorrow. Feeding about every 7-9 days now.

Yes a couple of them should be ready by then. Some later in October so it will be great harvesting in sections seem like this year. Last year it was all at once not a nice thing. This year will be a orderly harvest and I think the numbers will show at the end of the year. going to pic up some pollen and throw on some JTR branches see what I get. What pollen are you getting? I was thinking about seeding a few buds of my Pre 98 Bubba with something. Just not sure where to get it.
