Ditto on the lighting - that plant is screaming for more (see how its stretched & spindly looking?)
Do you have a fan in there? If not, you should - they help alot !

unfortunately i had a hallogen on it in the middle of a room for a bit that i think may have caused the stretching As i got to looking around this site i decided i needed to invest some time and money and get it all underway and get some proper light so this is the start of my project getting the fan tomoz to go in

just checked the temp at bottom of the cuboard and it is dropping just under 70 and that is with the light on im worried when i turn the lights off this is going to drop even lower which is not good for my plant. So i was wondering what ideas u had to raise the heat on the floor area and to keep it warm through the 12 hrs of dark any help appreciated thanks

Get Panda film if you can. It was like adding another light. I switched from reflective mylar to the Panda Film. It's about $100 a roll tho. Also, at the risk of pissing anybody off, be really careful about frequenting those "hydro" shops. Cops are awfully fond of just sitting outside them and taking down license tags and watching people. I'm not being paranoid, I've seen it first hand. Shopping there isn't probable cause to do anything, but it WILL hip them to what you are doing and you'll go directly under the microscope. Anything you can buy there, you can buy safer elsewhere, and at much better pricing.

thanks was realy thinking about some thing that creates heat

the 2 options i have come up with are

1. A low watt fan heater craetes warm air and circulates it 2 uses really

2. Large reptile heat mat placed on the floor but not putting pot directly on it creating a false floor with heat mat or matts underneath

i think i'd go for the heat mat, those electric heater tend to pump out really dry air and although at this stage humidity isnt what ur aiming for i would reckon the fan would be just too dry, and there usually quite expensive to run. thats just opinion btw.just a thought , why not but a heated propagator and just sit ur pot in it like a pot tray. it would provide the heat required, catch the run off when u water/feed and it can be used when ur germining seeds or clones. i had one myself and really liked it ....unfortunately the bloody cops lifted it when i got busted a few months back!

opinions is what im looking for my friend all are welcome

i thought the same heat mats would do a better job as well as dry air i thought maybe it would push out too much heat even on a low setting
