good to see you around drgreen...you swap out your flood tables for this setup, or rockin both? We seem to have a lot of the same ideas and the best part is your like one step ahead of me everytime....little reference.....lookin official whats the yield Vs. pain in the ass of this setup over the flood tables?

Also I'm debatin on the Raptor or the Magnum XXXL myself....rockin the 1000w cool tube in a 6x3x7 and I wanna get as much canopy in the 6ft covered as possible
whats up my friend, the system is great, i actually bought and dedicated this system mostly for my bubba kush's i grow because without a decent veg time they wont yield anything so the flood trays where a bit out of the ?. this is actually only my second run with it first was some much smaller plants and averaged about 2 oz's a plant, with this run im aiming for and pretty sure i will average around 4 a plant (12 total) but i think i can get around the same with 2 1000's but who knows lol.

not at all, 6 400's in flower and i like them allot generate literally no heat, plants can be very close. i am going to be throwing up 2 1000w in magnum xxxl hoods to see if i really get a good increase in yield (not sure but trying it anyway) i know 4 600's would do just as good (same watts) so i really want to try the 1000's and am pretty stoked about the change.
Sweet set-up dude. Those 400's look ice cold! Where'd you order them babies?

Get the 2 600's and a Convertible M/H light for veggin. I run a single 6 through the air-cooled Big Kahuna reflector. Great foot print, easy to cool, and can keep it close to the girls. If your doing any s.o.g or s.c.r.o.g you want a larger foot print, which the 2 600's (with proper reflectors) can provide better than the 1000. Light movers disperse the light over an area, but if you can cover an area without having to disperse the light then you win!

Def looking to see how the newer oversized-style reflectors perform, Ghantron you recommend the Big kahuna? I have a 1000w HPS/MH and I wanna cover my six foot table, but I don't have much clearance between the canopy and the ceiling so it's hard to spread out the light, I'm thinkin the 1000w with the Kahuna should cover two 3X3 flood trays, no?

Thanks

easily, i wish my camera worked so i could show you the pic of the foot print. It is by far the best reflector i have used and the floor print is adjustable, so you can focus the light more if need be. I went to HTGsupply, and if ur a return customer give the sales representatives a call. They hooked me up with 10% off everything on my last order, saved like 70 rupees.

i believe you, really cant wait to give them a go and going from 400's to 1000's should be like a night and day difference. i was very close to buying the 1000's the other day but im just going to let these go the whole grow then change to really see the difference instead of changing halfway through.

weed2.jpgThis pic is ten days after switching from t5's to a 1000 watter to flower, now they literally 6 inches from the hood and 25 days in. With the correct ventilation a 1000 watter can be tamed and you will love the outcome. As far as using 400 watters for veg...why run your power up when the plants don't need all that lumage, jus t5 em! If your cool having a $200+ bill a month then by all means run the extra 400's but just throwin in my two cents.

Hopped on ebay and put in my bid with like 5 min on the clock, its got the built in socket and chord as well as the glass...def a little impulsive buying but I couldn't resist.....I'm hoping its gonna give me a bigger footprint so I can fill my table (6X3) with canopy...I got the 1000w so I should be able to pull it off...

The next improvement is the Quantum digital switchable 1000w ballast, allows you to do 500w,750w and then 1000w....last month my electric bill was OVER 300$ with the AC runnin and everything
