anyone tried the dr earth homegrown soil designed for medical gardens

i got a buudy who works for scotts and this is part of his new line. he was telling me about this months ago but every time i look online i come up empty. well today i found a pic of the bag online. he tells me it hasnt caught on yet but he claims its better then FF or any other soil on the market. check out the bag it doesnt hide what its intended use is at all.

I know DR Earths products are ALL top notch, I've been using them for a while. I havn't seen this soil yet though....interesting, I might check into it and use it instead of the Vital Earth potting soil I use in my mix now.

yeah i think this soil is going to be hard to get your hands on for a while. with the packaging, certain stores will get turned off by it and wont carry it, and alot of hydro stores dont carry much dirt so its kind of a pain to locate right now from what i understand. you can get it online but i just dont know how cost effective that would be. hope this helps.

[/FONT]Using the contents of the 2 bags of potting soil, fill all 6 containers until soil level is within 1 inch from the top of each container. Blend ¼ cup of Dr. Earth® Organic 2™Starter Fertilizer into the top 4 inches of the potting soil. Dig a small hole to transplant your cutting. The hole should be slightly larger than the size of your transplant. Make sure that you do not bury the transplant too deeply. The soil level of the transplant should be slightly higher than the soil level in the 5-gallon

container to avoid "damping off" and other fungal diseases. Water the container well. Wait 5 minutes. Then start your feeding schedule as prescribed below. Turn on your lights and get growing. Follow the light manufacturer’s suggestions very carefully to send your plants into a strong vegetative cycle that will maximize "green growth." Many options are available. Any length of time between 18 to 24 hours is effective. Consult with your light manufacturer for best results.

Water again, using Dr. Earth® Seaweed Concentrate diluted in 1 gallon of water, at a ratio of 2 tablespoons per gallon. Water all plants equally with the 1 gallon of seaweed solution water; apply equal amounts per plant until the 1 gallon of solution has been completely used.

[/FONT]Use pure water only to flush all of the nutrients from the soil. It is important to understand that hundreds of different of varieties of plants are available to grow and harvest. Most plants have different maturity dates, for this reason we recommend 11 weeks of feeding at the minimum, if the variety of plant you choose to grow requires a long flowering period, then you may keep feeding with Dr. Earth Liquid Solution at a rate 2 tablespoons mixed into 1 gallon of water then applied at a rate of 2 ½ cups of solution per plant until 2 weeks before harvest. Flushing the nutrients from the soil 2 weeks prior to harvest will help to maximize your plants’ potency.

I'm very interested in trying this. I have heard nothing but good things about Dr Earth products, and he seems to stand by his product in fielding questions via email from customers. I have found almost everything at my local garden supply shop (I don't believe Home Depot or Lowe's will carry this). I still need to locate the starter fertilizer. I have listed the prices I paid below as an FYI.

For those that may be interested in following a journal, I will be starting one as soon as my clones are fully rooted. I plan on running (1) Vortex, (1) Chocolope, and (2) OG Kush 101 under a hood.

We carry all of the products in the "kit" at the garden center I work at. I am currently looking for an apartment to move into, as soon as I do I am going to use this soil/nute set up and see what it gives me. This will be my first indoor grow, I've done outdoor before just germinating some seeds and throwing them out there with no nutrients and letting mother nature take its course. I'll be making a thread about it when I get it up and going. In the meantime, has anyone tried this yet? I haven't been able to find any information on the actual results of this line of products.

Dr. Earth soils are horrible and over priced. If you like various deficencies in the 2nd week and more gnats than you ever seen in your life. Then this is the soil for you. Otherwise do not waste your time and money. I already did that. Just go get some roots organic original. Thats the best soil out there aside from mixing your own. It sells for $15 per 1.5 cu every where.

I have use ffof, ffhf, balck gold, mg organic, dr. Earth potting and medical, roots original, roots 707, roots coco , empire soil.

Dr. Earth amd empire were the worst.. Roots original was the best.
