Proper quality LED lights are rather expensive. You can get the cheap ones on ebay that really aren't that great and don't produce like you think they would by the product description. I'd say use a 200w 6500k CFL or Daylight MH

mr2shim is correct. Flouros are the cheaper way to go. But if you have the money IM me and Ill tell you about the lights Ive been talking about. Best on the market LEDs.

With UFO LED light you can have a safe vegetable gardening. All you have to do is simply hang one UFO LED light. IT provides plenty of lights to a 12 foot vegetable growing area than a typical living room lamp. UFO light is the best to use. You can get from any hydroponic store but I would like to suggest you to get from Advanced Nutrients for the best UFO LED light
ok, I never heard of advanced nutrients making a UFO LED... and that link is to an UNO HID

As for OP, I'd get something with some white up in it. And least some red, even though it's veg, it's still photosythesis, all blue is stupid.
So for veg, I think something like this is going to work best.

And the all blue veg light does contain the correct spectrums close to the red range. Its just veg, red really isnt needed that much. YES, photosynthesis does require it, but not at high levels during veg. And just for vegging, about any light on the market will work.

I know that you meant Advanced LED, but Jean2 clearly said Advanced Nutrients and then added a link to Advanced Nutrients website.

Also AN does not have a UFO LED that I know of (somebody can correct me on this). The link posted is for an Air-Cooled Reflector.

hahaha, nice save... but not good enough... there is nothing but 460 nanometer wavelength blue in a damn blue led (460 nm)...

I edited that post afterwards, its not very close to red in spectrum, but the light is optimized for plant growth. Plants use light we cant see also.

Op, if you want to get all blue, go get an aquarium light. It will at least have some white in it:

Then there is this thing as another option.

I never heard of grow light pro. Maybe you want to start a thread asking for reviews on grow light pro? Black star is easy to research. Look at actual grows on here with the black star by using the search feature.

Search Button??? uhm?!

Yeah I researched them both. I got kind of confused. Mainly because of that guys bad accent and terrible grammar. I quit worrying about the watts and focused more on the lumens. They all seem bright enough to veg though. Now I actually think if I'm spending this much on a light and I'm not gonna flower with it I'm wasting my money. ???

Thanks for the help and input so far

Check the journal in my sig to see what I've done with mine. I grow autos and have four right now at four weeks old. They're happy under Hydroponics Hut and GLH leds. I also have some piece of crap 90w ufos from Ebay working as side lighting but wouldn't rec using those for top lighting.
