Yea I'm usually pretty careful on nutes.
I started cranking my girl up to 160% with no signs of leaf damage, but then she bear-clawed almost silently.

If you use a bucket, drill holes in the bottom.
Otherwise water could gather there and become anaerobic.

that is the reason i will use the buckets as last resort... i feel they are so flat that drilling holes in bottom aren't gonna be enough. I'm gonna have to drill the corners out on the bottom to. and find a drip tray with grooves so the run off has somewhere to go.

Thanks man, I only really need a cheap one to... I don't need the thermostat or anything.... I was gonna hard wire it so the vent fan only turns on when my furnace runs. I'll search around... i have a few months to shop around, so i should find a good deal. Thanks again for the link.

I was blessed with a couple visits from the seed fairy!!

All of these new strains i am starting were created by other RIU users. They were collected and redistributed from a very kind and generous grower that sent them to me. I just hope to honer them by growing their creations in a respectable manner and not making any silly mistakes like i recently did!!!

I wouldn't keep those Blueberry seeds unless you intend on breeding with them.

I'm assuming they're DJ Short's Colchicine created mutant Blueberry frankenstein strain.
And the fact that it hermied means it's going to pass on that trait.
Which means you'l have a lot of crossing to do to remove it.

In nature, plants which can self pollinate are literally perfect.
Imperfect plants/flowers such as Cannabis, Hops, and Mulberry have female and male flowers on seperate plants.
(MY BAD GUYS, MAJOR TYPO)

True hermaphrodite Cannabis has Male branches and Female branches,
and an Intersex plant is when a flower bud has male and female flowers.

So you have "perfect" blueberry that doesn't want to go back to imperfection.
That effin' blueberry could be left alone outside in south california for years, while making it's own hermie landrace. Just like old school Sativas.

hey stoney congrats on figuring out the problem bro. have u tried air pots? i havent yet, dont have enough buckets. but i hear its a good way to go. i tried to go to the link for his his e-book but he disabled the link.

some of my plants feel heavy @ bottom and light on top. but havent had problems like that yet. im using medical marijuana mix. (m3). this stuff is so fluffy, it doesnt get hard like dirt. and i havent noticed the weight at bottom of bucket.

also if u try buckets i get mine from wifes work. i there 6 gal buckets. but taller than a 5 gal. my roots dont seem to be wound up after harvest, nice and white. catch ya later stoney glad the girls are pickin up for ya

Glad you figured it out stoney! I do think airpots may be a good option for you if choose.

I think the blueberry seeds would be a great seed fairy gift to grow out hermied just means possibly more seeds for the cheapskates who don't want to order offline

Thanks so much smokey!!! i'm not liking the tang dream just yet... seems tough to grow. this may be the reason it is hard to find harvest pics of her... I have another one ready to go in flower now, i am going to be extra gentle with this one and see what happens.

no, it is not a dj short, the seeds came from homegrown-fantaseeds. this has been a strong plant for many years, and this is the very first hermie. I feel the seeds should be fine and not carry on that trait to dominantly. plus i am really in it for the bud... the seeds are just a bonus!

you read my mind hammer!!! i have something in mind that i was gonna try today.... lascaping fabric and milk crates. I'm gonna read up on them a liitle more and see what i can learn.

Thanks gumball!!! airpots may be a great solution for me.... I am going to look into a DIY solution today. I am thinking some fabric inside of a milk crate. simple and i don't have to destroy anything, plus i have the two items right here at my house!!!

Man if I were you i'd try like silk screen, or even some window screen wire. Right now I use 2 liter bottles and poke decent size holes in it. Seems to work pretty nice

they all look great man. the C4's are growin prety nicely! =) glad the floja crosses have sprouted for ya. anxious to see them! since your the only 1 growing them as of right now. =) hope they turn out good 4 ya! might be startin a few Roms soon too. =) got a qrazy quake goin. and a couple lemon qleaners. and a black rose. think roms will be up next.

I ended up going with the landscaping fabric, I already had a couple rolls. i think it worked well. I have always wanted to try airpots. i will probably just try this one for a while before i make the switch. i posted some pics of it below.

yea, I hope they will be okay, the best part about it is, i have other clones of the plant. she has sentimental value to me so i will always keep her. i went to Amsterdam and bought the original seeds many years ago. so if the seeds to hermie i still have the proper DNA.

That's right, those pics are the first time that breed has ever been photgraphed and released to the public!!! right here on RIU!!!! I haven't started the lemon qleaners yet.... gorilla grape is next!!!! none of my roms sprouted yet.... they all cracked to, i'll wait a little more. just when i start to get worried, they sprout.

I have been wanting to try air pots for a while now. and after my disaster with the soggy bottom girls, i decided to make one today, well use one, i didn't really make anything. I took a milk crate and some landscaping fabric i had left over from the spring time. cut a square of fabric set it in the milk crate, add some soil, put in a two foot tangerine dream, put in more soil. done!! it was that easy.... here are a couple pics.
