That sucks. The small fence I put up around the garden seems to be doing good of keeping out some of the larger critters but I've been battling with potato bugs this last week.*so jealous*

The little bastards almost ate an entire plant before I was able to pick them off and spray the plants.
As far as I know that's all they eat. I only had the larvae on mine eating the plants, I'm not sure about the adults.do the potaote bugs just eat potatoes? i see the skins in my garden all the time but no live ones. i have noticed any damage at all though

I've already decided on doubling the size of the garden next year to give a lot more room and so I can plant more fruits and veggies.looking good 420, it seems every year i plan on spacing further apart cuz it gets crowded but then every year the plants justget bigger and still get crowded. next year i am spacing every thing a foot more aprt
I was thinking of building a little stand and letting my daughter sell some of the extra and I'm going to be picking up a few pigs for butcher that will get their fill while saving me on feed.if you double in size and cant eat all of it, a farmers market would be a nice place to sell them
No clue, just read it and just as lost as you are.what the hell is that last post about?
Good idea but most places around only take non-perishable food items like can goods and whatnot, don't know of many that take fresh foods. My real point was if you have extra space why not donate food to a non profit who will give it to people that need. Ya know, if ya felt like it.
I've already started pickling pickles and have pulled some carrots, peas, and radishes. Won't be long for the melons and tomatoes. How is the harvest going? You must be pulling tons of tasty goodies out of there by now.
