Sounds like you need to learn the difference between Communism and Democratic Socialism. Democratic Socialism is how Canada, Australia and practically the entire EU operate. It works, and it's coming this way.

Makes no sense to remodel the homes at the tax payers expense and take away from the housing industry.

Where the fuck is this money coming from? There's no new jobs, only people getting poorer.

If Democratic Socialism were to take hold in America there would be very few poor after a while. Once all the big companies and wealthiest 2% were taxed fairly the wealth would be redistributed fairly instead of channeled up. American jobs would pay a fair, livable wage instead of month to month. Everyone would have access to a free education, free healthcare, free child care, up to a year of paid maternity leave, 4-6 weeks paid vacation a year. Sounds terrible huh?
