So I was bored on Sunday and I came across a thread about doing 6/12 when flowering. I got thinking about it and was thinking it would make the girls finish faster and also save a bit on leccy bills. So heres the plan - The girls above are going to get another 7 days veg under 18/6. They are 5 Northern Souls, 1 Moby Dick, 1 Cali Hash and 1 Blue Widow(no idea whats what coz I got the seeds mixed up lol) I know the yield will be affected but lets just see how much. Once I flip to 7/12(Im going to do 7/12 coz I heard any lower you increase chance of hermies) they are going to be under 2x600 HID's. I'll be using Ionic range of nutes with Overdrive added the last few weeks. They are in a Wilma dripper system with peeble. All advice and suggestions welcome.

Why don't you use one less light and do a true 12/12?
That should save you about the same amount of money and the girls will finish happier.

Well its just a small grow and a little experiment m8. Just wanna see if it finishes quicker. Just curious

Coz they were already in the dripper and its the easiest form of growing Ive ever done(Im real Lazy)

Hey. Nice to see someone trying it out. What kind of light(s) are you using like are they MH or HPS or you using both MH and HPS and their specs?
I will have to try this to my self but also other lighting times to see what happens.

What is the rough amount that you've harvested off your plants with those kinds of lights that you are using?

Drip is alot easer then soil because you don't have to water every plant by hand you just need to top up the res and such. makes life alot easer.

Drip is alot easer then soil because you don't have to water every plant by hand you just need to top up the res and such. makes life alot easer.

They are Dual spec m8. I got 27oz of 16 plants last time on 12/12 but I put them through hell and back.lol

Sweet well I can't wait to see what the results are and if you can could you post the results of the 12/12 and the 7/12 at the end?

How many days / weeks did it take for your girls to be finished from when you flipped them to 12/12?

Ok these girls are getting the 7/12 light cycle starting Sunday One seedling snuffed it, so we are down to 7

Got a question for you Billy. What is your thoughts about buying a water pump and putting it onto a timer so that watering the plants in soil is automatic?

I use a wilma dripper system which is basically a system that does what you described. Ive never used soil but I don't see why not. Put the pump on for 15mins every 4 hrs or so

No he's doing 7 hours of light , 12 hours of dark. Its almost like 12/12 but instead of 12 hours of light he's doing 7 hours of light.

AHHHH I see yes that would destroy the yield id think.thats why it would finish faster lol because theres no bud to worry about lol.It might be the new thing to do also so who knows.

Exactly and I my self will be interested in how much the yield is reduced
