the idea that any one idea will work to get rid of powdery mildew is a myth.

here's my suggestions:

- constant foliage spray consisting of "safer grow mildew cure" from veg to second week of flower http://www.usorchidsupplies.com/mildew-cure/221-safergro-mildew-cure-1-pt.html
- cut off your your lower limbs (i chop 4-5 limbs from the bottom), during late veg. these will be your problem areas during flowering as they'll receive moisture and lack of light/air.
- small mini fans that focus mainly on your lower stems, res, wherever your water is pooling/draining
- LOWER HUMIDITY! this is the key ingredient, even if you can remove the mold temporarily, if your humidity is still high; it'll just creep back up. you may need a dehumidifier. i've even heard of large buckets of rice successfully dropping humidity.

best of luck to you all. i hate the idea of so many people smoking buds that have mold issues.

buckets of rice sounds like a neat trick. I will have to try that out.
