Sure, I've done it. Assuming you know what to look for, in terms of getting the product into the curing range, the only problem with the bags are the lost trichs. Personally, I prefer to lay the product out on a screen, collecting the kief, and using a cover to maintain slower drying. Good luck.

i use paper bags....
I didnt see much diference from hanged only....
The buds dry a lil faster this way ....
But wont dry out to fast since buds are in close contact the moisture is kinda spread out)
I find it easier to figure out when there down ... by hold the bottom of the bag ...it easy to tell how dry the are ....
By the moisture on the bag....

I do this mainly to have them in the dark but inside my grow area by the carbon filter. Works great for me, as the other person said as long as you check them every day and can tell when they need to be put in jars. I have found there is a very small window when they are the right amount of dry...

I put mine in a cardboard tray with news paper on the bottom. I lay the buds evenly across the tray, then cover them with another couple sheets of news paper. I do this so i can dry the buds inside the grow room and keep the smell stealthy. It works great but you only need to do this for 2 0r 3 days. Once they get dry jar them up and let them moisten up over night. Then take them out the next day for a while and repeat. I get great bud this way...I hope this helps.

So when you say the moisture on the bag let's you know... does the moisture completely disappear or wait til almost dry with slight moisture on the bag? I think I'm going to use this method in a couple of weeks, thanks in advanced!!

the paper bag method is all i do now....
the bigger nice top colas usually i let hang for a couple days ....1 or 2...
then after that about 3 to 4 days in the bag ..depending on bud size,density...
Its good usuing the bag as i mentioned....
The bags will be damp...but as soon as they start to dry ....the buds will be almost perfect..
Not too krispy....
The bags wont completely dry out i suppose...
I just have a feel for it now....
After 10 to 20 cures ...you just come too know....
The two worse things are over drying, drying to fast ...
And putting wet buds in jars.....to get mold...
youll know when there dune just on feel..
I usuallly only dry around 4 days ...and keep my buds slightly damp....
and cure them with allot of burps the first couple days....
Then after about 5 days of many burps and checking on mold....
It will be just right and ill let em go a day in between burps....

Cool, thanks for the reply!! Man this is my first grow, got sum pretty lookin buds too!!I think this method is easiest for my situation,.. can I. Start off by puttin the buds in the bag or do I have to hang first??? So excited, went out and bought my mason jars... LOL can't wait but being very patient.the paper bag method is all i do now....

I usually put the cut down buds in the bag... and once the bag is lighter .... the smell is more faint...
I usually try to roll a half blunt... I usually take the smallest bud from the bag....since the smaller buds dry faster...
If it burns nice and doesnt go out ...i will consider putting the buds in a bag that night...
But u have to make sure the bud isnt to damp... and is slighty crisp...not to damp...
For insatnce ... I have a 5 oncer i just cut (blue larry)
I took the phat mid branches .. and hung them on thursday mourning...
And then on friday i took the lower nugs ...slightly samller nickel size and put them immediately in a bag...
And then chopped the top half and hung that .....
This mourning saturday .... i cut down the hanging mid buds from thursday... and left the friday top half ...(supper dense crown nug)
too chop on sunday mourning....
the bud is still too damp.... but bye tomarow mourning i will sample the first chopped thrusday mornig nugs...in total 4 days....
seeing as my temps were high 70's and slighty dry at day ... lower and humider at night ...
I chooped on thursday seeein as the temp was gonna be cooller....
Its best to slowly dry the buds.....
Its a must at 4 days to sample some to see where your at ....
Thats usually my favorite part bout the whole ordeal ....
Lots of times strains will taste great right off the bat....
But will be good great after about 7 to 11 days depending on strain variety....

What up 323cheezy? Hey I took a sample bud off my plant probably Friday night. I got in the jar right now.... trying to practice so I won't screw up you know lol... I said I'm just going to cure for a week just for my sample... did have the hay smell also, was kinda worried first because of how the plant smelled while growing, but it is starting to dissapate!! Still waiting on that super fruity smell tho!! Will let you know how it turns out!! Thatnks for all the advice!!

The buds will lose their smell a bit once youve dried em for 3 days....
And once they go in the jars ..the hay smell should be there ....For most strains....
Its a good thing tho.... that smell is the plants inside that you want out the bud....
The smell should come back to the inital smell after chopp...
And u will smelll the goodness when u break it down....
some strains just take longer before they get back there dankness...
Hop your stuuff comes out nice....
