What can I expect from this setup

Very small single plant setup. Don't bash me I'm just trying to get it to grow. I want to start to finish in a 16oz cup. Single 15w cfl bulb 5500k. Kc brains mind bender. 18/4 for the first 3 weeks. It's at 5 inches now just switched it to 12/12.

Like I said I just want to know what I can expect. Don't bash this is more experimental than anything else.

Thats how much i got, barely enough to pack a cone. Might be worth it if you had about a thousand of those little babies growing in your yard but theres simply not enough light from 1 cfl to feed the plant. They need somthing like atleast 5000 lumens of light to thrive and at 67 lumens a watt (my cfl was) with a 15watter thats only a bees dick over 1k lumens = not enough light.

Step 1: Cut a large enough opening in cup for roots to protrude out of. Your supposed to have one gallon of soil for every month the plant is alive. If you really can do better indoors, maybe you should just put it outside? Outside is AWESOME! But, it's risky to have a huge indoor grow and plants outside at the same time.

thanks for the advice..i added another cfl..turns out the one i was running was a 14w but i added a 19w now as well essentially doubling the lumens (by ozgreens math im lookin at 2200ish lumens...

the 19w is a soft white as compared to the 5500k-ish 14w i was using..i know soft white is better for flowering but are the two lights a good combination?

Lumens do not add upon each other no matter how many 14 watt bulbs you have you still are only putting out 1000 or so lumens. With the additional bulbs you are just able to cover a bigger area with 1000 lumens.

Well the growing space is pretty small. 2 foot tall box with a 10x10" base with tin foil walls inside..

I'm not lookin to score big from the grow. I'm just doin it for hobby really. I don't even know if I'm dealing with a male or female yet..

Thats kinda the deal. No matter how small the space, and no matter how many 14 watt bulbs you add, 1000 lumens is just not enough to grow a joint. Get yourelf a 100 watt(actual)cfl and you then you can grow a 1/4 ounce or so at a time...

Its good to have to a variety of light so mixing it up with 2700k and and the 5500k is ok, I was told that the ratio when flowering with cfls was 2:1 as in 2 soft white lights (2700k) to 1 cool white light which in your case is the 5500k but i would add atleast 1 more 20 or 23 watt 2700k.
