Dutch Master Reverse - Can it help with slowing seed growth?

Hey everyone,

Seems that I had stealth hermie balls in my room full of girls, so now have seeds developing. So far, only on some of my plants and are still green.

Question is, does any one know about Dutch Master Reverse's ability to stop seed growth and proliferation or does it just stop balls and bananas from developing?

Trying to stop a seed fest...only 35 days in flower...suggestions?

I think that, that stuff is a bunch of BS... Look at the ingredients and you'll see it's nothing more then a nutrient. Don't waste your money

many people here report that it works wonders
not only that, it is also used for other crops to prevent fertilization where unwanted. cucumbers, watermelons etc.

only thing is - reverse DOES NOT slow/remove/stop unwanted seeds - it only stops male genitalia (flowers) from appearing.

I think it is just supposed to slow it down but imo there isn't the right chemicals in it for that.

Here is a FAQ I found on their site

GOLD RANGE REVERSE FAQs
Q: Do I need to dilute Gold Range REVERSE with water?
A: No. Gold Range REVERSE is ready to use out of the bottle. The only thing you need to add is Gold Range SATURATOR at 10 ml / 2 teaspoons per 1 litre / 1 quart. Then spray immediately on your leaves.

Q: Will Gold Range REVERSE turn a male plant into a female plant?
A: No. Gold Range REVERSE will NOT turn a male plant into a female plant.

Q: What does Gold Range REVERSE do?
A: Gold Range REVERSE was designed to provide the optimal specialized nutrition that is required to help a plant to express and maintain its natural genetic disposition.

Q: Do I need to spray Gold Range REVERSE with the lights off?
A: No. When mixed with Gold Range SATURATOR, as recommended on the label and on our website Usage Instructions, you can spray with the lights on if it is more suitable to your needs. However, if you need to spray in the dark, then this can also be performed with equally good results.

Q: Do I have to use Gold Range SATURATOR with Gold Range REVERSE; will it work just as good without it?
A: Yes. You should always use Gold Range SATURATOR with every foliar product you spray on your plants, be it a Dutch Master product, or not. The reason for this is that Gold Range SATURATOR was designed to deliver your foliar payload deep within the leaf tissue, explosively releasing it to where it is needed most – the engine room! Foliar products will not work as effectively without Gold Range SATURATOR and that is a fact!

Q: Can I use Gold Range REVERSE in the grow period?
A: No. Gold Range REVERSE has been designed to only be used in the flower / bloom stage.

Q: Should I use Gold Range REVERSE on every crop as a maintenance spray to avoid problems or only when and if I see a problem occurring?
A: Gold Range REVERSE should be used on every crop to maintain optimal expression.

Q: How should I use Gold Range REVERSE as a maintenance program?
A: As a preventative aid, spray the first time at the onset or initiation of flowering (usually approx 7 days into flower) and once again 10 days after your first spray.

Q: What if a problem suddenly pops up and I have not been using Gold Range REVERSE as a maintenance?
A: Gold Range REVERSE can be used at the first sight of a problem by spraying immediately and once again 10 days later if the problem still persists.

Q: How long can I keep a mixed bottle of Gold Range REVERSE and SATURATOR for before using it?
A: You should only ever mix up enough Gold Range REVERSE and SATURATOR for the immediate spraying and it should be sprayed on your plants within 10 - 15 minutes of mixing together. This is critical for optimal effectiveness.

Q: How much should I mix up?
A: Only mix enough to spray an even mist on the tops of your leaves.

Q: Should I spray the top and bottom of the leaves?
A: No. It is only necessary to spray the tops of your leaves because Gold Range SATURATOR will effectively deliver everything in to the leaf tissue from the top.

Q: How long can Gold Range REVERSE be stored for?
A: If stored uncontaminated in a cool dark environment, Gold Range REVERSE can be stored indefinitely, however, for optimal results it is best to discard older product and use fresh.

Thanks guys - that was really helpful info. It seems that if I try it, I am still risking seeds galore if it really doesn't work optimally or if it doesn't work at all. Going into week six with pretty developed plants (bushy white hairs starting to turn amber on all the buds, tons of trichomes, still white) what would you do, pull or continue on?

If all your ladies are growing them then I would just grow them out but if you risk pollinating other females then I would get rid of them asap

Thanks man, will pull the 4-5 plants with seeds developing tonight then when my lights go on. Bummer. I definitely have beauties in there that are still seed free, so hopefully they will stay that way after that. Thanks again :)

hold your horses! are you growing commercially? if not, no need to pull them. some seeds will not destroy your harvest, only reduce it slightly, but much less than pulling 5 plants would reduce it.

if you're growing commercially, and you've had 5 plants with *many* pollen sacks that have opened, then your crop is lost.

if each has only shown *some* pollen sacks which you've been able to pull in time, then your crop may be saved. I've had some balls on one of my girls early on, i plucked them in time and got almost no seeds in the end.

don't be a hermie killer. kill only if you have to.

If you get that many hermies, theres something wrong somewhere. Find the cause.

Dutch masters reverse surpresses the hermie hormones. Will not make balls go away, but might prevent more from showing up. Goodluck with your grow.
