peng ty +rep for you!!!! can you send me pics???? would love to see the girls :)
im only flowering 2 blue dreams and they started late only had 1 week veg and are as tall as the others which had a longer veg so i can assume its a tall one my mommie is 4 ft and veggin? for 2 months not sure if you call it veggin when its the moms ??? and i just topped her last night she is only like ft 1/2 arround all the way up not much to even take from her yet. (havent taken from her yet) her sisters are flowering. so i am 6 weeks and all the hairs are white you think they will finish in the 50s? ill deffinatly keep an eye on them because if you go to strain reviews it says 10 weeks flowering.
I can speak from my own experiences with the blue dream variety that i have. I got it from my friend in town who went to the breeder in so. cal. So I am lead to believe it is the real deal blue dream. I have seen them go as long as 62 in soil, but mine are ready at 55 days. No pics right now, though, sorry. cant find my camera....

Ok update today i talked to dannyboy and he suggested that switching lights from 12/12 to 10/14 10 on 14 off. it has been suggested by ed rosenthall that it helps ripen the buds faster. so today most all buds are 50/50 red white hairs mostly cloudy with tiny bit of amber. we will see how it goes :) update later

here is excerpt from ed rosenthal
Some sativas and sativa hybrids require a longer dark period at the end of flowering to fully ripen their buds. Outdoors, this happens in due course as the nights lengthen in the fall. Indoors, change the lighting regime to 14 hours of darkness/10 hours of light to promote ripening. This is especially helpful in finishing low latitude varieties that don’t reach maturity in their native lands, where there is no winter, until the middle of the short-day season.

here is the full article
Marijuana is a short-day plant. As the days get shorter, marijuana determines when to flower based on the number of hours it receives of uninterrupted darkness. It measures the length of the dark period using the hormone phytochrome, which has two states. The hormone’s inactive state, Pfr, occurs when it absorbs red spectrum of light at 666 nanometers. It also has a slight sensitivity to blue light. The hormone changes to its active form, Pr, over a period of two hours when the plant is in darkness. When the Pr flowering hormone levels remain high for a critical period of time over several days, the plant changes from vegetative growth and initiates flowering.
The number hours of darkness plants need to initiate flowering differs by variety. Sativas require a longer period of darkness than indicas because they developed near the equator, where the length of daylight is much more consistent than at northern latitudes, where indicas developed. Some sativas continue to grow vegetatively with 10 or 11 hours of darkness, which usually cues most plants to flower.
Many sativas initiate flowering only when the dark cycle increases to 12 hours or more, which occurs September 22 in the Northern Hemisphere.
By contrast, most indicas flower with 8 to 11 hours of uninterrupted darkness (13 to 15 hours of light). In southern tiers of Europe and the U.S., a few indica varieties flower as early as June 22, the shortest night of the year. For this reason, outdoor gardeners in these regions should consider sativa-indica hybrids and sativas. In the central and northern tiers, indica and indica-sativa hybrids usually start flowering in August and are ready to harvest in September through mid-October.

you need to take the auto-focus off of your cam. its making all your close ups fuzzy. its consistently focusing on the background

not sure how to do all that just yet, learning on my moms and babies right now what is supercropping? and topping i thought was because they are to tall? i would love to get bigger buds next time so i can trim less lol :) too many to tie down??? but thank for the ideas i will look into it for next round should start aug 15 or so.....

Supercropping when you pinch a branch almost to the point of breaking (without actually breaking it) and bend it over. This stops top growth and helps bush out your plant. The spot that you SC will rebuild itself within 24-48 hours and double in size and strength.

Here is a great thread on it: https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/413359-supercropping-canopy-control.html

I used this method and have been more than happy with the outcome of the plants bushiness.

Tying down is as simple as it sounds! When your clone or little girl gets about 4-5 nodes you literally just tie it down horizontally with string... this exposes more light to the lower buds and gives you more fat colas instead of just one big one in the center and lots of smaller popcorn buds: https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/428529-diablo-og-dual-monster-plant.html#post5664208. If you look at the second post he has pretty good pictures of his plants tied down. And then if you look at the later pages you see his awesome results! Just massive massive colas

edit: I just thought since you had 40 plants tying them down would be kind of a pain.

Usually people decide to tie down OR SC... personally if you let the plant grow straight up I think you should FIM it instead of SC but SC is still very effective. FIM is basically like topping except that you only cut off about 80% of the top growth and get 4 or more main colas instead of topping which you completely cut off the top growth and get two main colas.

Depending on your strain SC/FIM/Topping will increase your yield but it still depends on the genetics.

By using the SC and LST methods your plants will look something like this:

SNC01724.jpgSNC01721.jpgSNC01743.jpgSNC01749.jpgSNC01801.jpg

This is all done without topping which you very well could do along with both other methods. I simply chose not to top cuz I didn't know what I was doing lol The SC And LST were real easy. I also did it this way because I have a height restriction in their room.

I'm pretty sure I did bend a few branches in the beginning of my flowering, but not past the first week. I still adjust the strings every couple of days.

Edit: Adding pics from today. These are my cheese plants in the middle of flower week 3. This plant was lst'd and sc'd. (sorry they're kinda blurry! shitty camera*)
