Ok fabfun you wanted pics and this is crazy funny, i am not topping my plants they are freaking doing it for me and growing three leaves to each node not two, crazy genetics.

First two pics are of a branch that randomly topped itself by splitting into two, i have a few of thes per plant and the next few are of the branches on these plants that have the three leaves per node not two! Freaking crazy yer! And my grow, looking a bit better than my previous problems, plants are reasonably healthy, bit underfed in places!

BTW i have given up lollipopping and going the LST way now, keeping plants under 30cm and exsposing bud sites i would have cut off, bit of a radicle u-turn but hey i think keeping plants lower and well lit is gona work better in my situation, no more stretchy plants to lollipop now. Peace

what's crazy is i bend them and they fold over, often cracking open. they bend all the way over then 2 days later they are standing straight up again. :hump:

really awesome shapes you have achieved with those!

i am also a bit of a bonsai guy. i like to do "experiments" with some of my vegging plants just for fun. this is the result of one, a perfect "FIM".

i also have three tall, untopped plants that are slowly progressing on their own towards this shape.

this is basically a skill learned over time of maximizing exposure to the sun while minimizing non-productive branches. i am pretty good at the indoor stuff, but i have a ways to go to learn what works best for the outdoor stuff. Thanks for the tutorial.

Haha, is that a couple of lame ass strawberries in the bottom of the pic, that plant needs some work or at least another season.lOL.
my son brought home that strawberry plant from the fair some 10 years ago.
