I grew out some Sweet Seeds "Fast Bud" in the spring. While I had more than a few misgivings about this, or any other autoflower strain but I gave it a shot, along with "Big Devil" also from S. Seeds. Both strains germed quickly (2 plants each) and produced hardy, robust plants with tight nodes that started to flower at the end of week 3. I initially had more faith in the B. Devil as it supposedly had the genetics to produce a larger, higher yielding plant. At week 6 from germ. I saw signs of instability on one of the B.Devils and a portion of the plant went hermie on me producing a few, non-viable seeds but had little effect on either the quality or, the yield. Chopped at 65 days, average dried-cured yield was 1.2 oz/plant with a pleasant, quick hitting buzz. Flavor was slightly skunky- piney with good (but not great) overall reviews from the willing volunteers.
The F.Bud on the other hand was chopped at 62 days (although it could have easily been harvested at 59 or 60) and yielded a average of 2.1 oz/plant. A quick hitter as well but, the buzz tended to last upwards of 2 hrs. or more. The "frost" started to appear on the buds as early as 4 weeks into the grow under what I would call ideal growing conditions with a 400w HPS in soil with only mild amounts of fertizer given with none given in the last 2 weeks. Side-by-side reviews of any given strain are often murky as too often the opinion of the participants is clouded by the residual effects of the other strain(s) so I was careful to seperate the 2 strains 1 week apart. Most users loved this strain both in flavor and buzz. Uplifting type of high with no "couchlock". Flavor was similar but had more berry-like undertones. Although this is purely anecdotal evidence being it is based on only 2 strains, I would still buy the Fast Bud again based on all factors involved.
