QUESTION: Can you tell me what I need to make the hose. I know its medical hose but what is the thing that rotates with the hose? Is the hose just slid over the end of the blow tube? you dont have a picture of it do you? I have been searching google and not found anything on the hose. Thanks

he's using it for vac stacking though. i'm talking a real "blow hose", something he can use all day, everyday.

i put a blow hose on just about everything now.

I think I went about 6-8 months without the blowhose. I dont know how people stick a tube to their mouth and puff and get all the various angles... I couldnt go a day without my blowhose/swivel now. Of course without fdd's inspiration I'd not be a glassblower, so you both get marbles.

I've never used one. I got the hose, now I'm looking for a local swivel. I've been doing a lot more sculpting so I know I'm gonna use it a lot now too. I've wanted one for a while..

I found a graphite plant by my house that had a dumpster full of sheets of graphite. I grabbed a couple pieces and started making tools and for one decent size piece I'm putting under my torch with some molds dremeled out of it. So basically I have unlimited supply of it in all shapes and sizes. Pm me if you like..

i'm pretty sure that 'dumpster' was actually destined for recycling of some sort.

scrap metal is hardly ever trash. that 'trash' was probably headed somewhere to be transformed into welding tools or something....

i wouldn't go back...

Actually I picked up a couple hours working as a garbage man and dump the dumptstet next to it tuesdays. I just set a few chunks in the back of the truck. It was a huge garbage dumpster full of it. I gotta go back next Tues. Only route I picked up. Worked out great..

I recycled it for them! Gave it the care it needed got it nice n smooth and will put it to good use! I STOLE plenty the first time so i dont need anymore..

I took home two Pentium 4 computers and a laser printer from the electronics recycling dropoff section at the dump today. Its a staffed facility, and they didnt mind one bit!

The graphite is a killer thing to get for free man! It wouldnt be recycled (graphite isnt metal to the guy who was whining about it). Finding big sheets are killer. You could sell it by the pound on eBay all day long. I'd love to find a few half inch to inch thick big slabs the size of a poster!

WHO is he stealing it from? Graphite goes in the dump, not a recycle center. Is he stealing from the city dump? OH NO! Lol......... And what does being educated have to do with anything? Your the one who thinks graphite is a metal to recycle.

they use graphite powder to increase the the carbon content of several alloys.

guess where that graphite powder comes from??? recycled graphite.
