In the middle of the grow box at the top of the picture you can see that one leaf is browning and dieing. Is this normal since I began flowering stage? Secondly, this is already a week and a half into budding and there are still so many leaf bunches at the top nodes on each top. How much taller could the tops get before they completely stop verticle growth? Oh yeah and one of the leafy nodes on one of the tops looks like it could have pistils coming out of the node. If this possible or do you need to wait till the it has stopped popping out leaves? These are both bagseeds so I hope I get some girls:/ thanks!

They look good. Cant really tell about that leaf from that pic. If its just effecting one leaf i would say it got burned by the light? Just pull it off so your plant focuses growth on the living leaves.

As far as the height, it really depends on lights/size of grow medium/health. It will gain height untill right before it is done and ready to harvest.

Takes anywhere from 1-2 weeks to show sex in my experience.

Happy growing.

Try and get a clear shot with a good camera before we start trying to diagnose issues, and recommend anything major.

As far as light distance, you won't have the best penetration with a 150 HPS and small CFLs. I wouldn't move them too far away, or your plants may stretch too much.

You should be able to safely put that 150 within 16" or so of the canopy I would guess, with adequate air circulation. To be sure, put your hand palm down, at plant top level, and leave your hand there for about 30 seconds. If your hand is slightly warm but not uncomfortable, then you are safe........as a very basic rule of thumb.

But you have to consider that the closer you get the the plant tops, the less area you can cover evenly. So its a balance.

And one final word. In my experience, a plant kept happy in it's comfort zone will do just as well, or better than a plant that has lights crammed up against it, causing it to transpire water faster than the roots can take it in, and it is possible to "bleach" your plants, or burn them by having too intense of lighting.

I am currently running my digital 600's at 400 and 360 W for the last month or so (to combat summer heat), and my plants don't seem to notice a difference in my tiny closet.
