Cool, if its about 1g per watt i have two on the go at the mo, just seedlings a sensi seeds big bud and a dinafem cali hash plant, both big producers apparently so ill be more than happy to get 800g lol! i reckon about 4-5oz per plant in the end as I've got advanced nutrients sensi grow, sensi bloom, big bud, bud candy and bud blood to add to the mix.

I have a heat issue with the mh now but am using the cfl's while there so small till a new inlet fan turns up to compliment the 5" ruck fan i have for extraction and hopefully this will keep the heat around the 28 degrees mark with everything running. I also bought an additional air pump to put more oxygen in the water in the two oxypots i have (they both come with a small submersible pump but they dont output much)

Yeah cured bud rocks, the stuff i still ahev in jars is at about 5-6 weeks now and 1 spliff is knocking me dead for a few hours lol! excellent!

Yeah its a DWC hydro set up, 20L buckets, a submersible air pump and an additional air pump with two outlets each running a 6" air stone for the two buckets.

I did my last grow with all cfl's and no temp / humidity meter and the plant thrived like mad, i guess the temps where about 28/29 degrees celcius for the whole grow. My current grow is still at first week of seedling stages so im using 1 of the 300w cfl's and the temp is steady at 27.4 degrees celcius n 52% humidity but if i put the metal halide on instead it hits 35 degrees which is way too hot and the humidity doesnt even register.

I have a 90x90x180 tent with a 5" ruck fan and carbon filter for extraction but at the mo have no inlet fan to mix cool air in there, ive ordered a 4" TT inline fan rated at 200cm3 so i hoping this will bring the temp down to 29 degrees at the hottest but am unsure of the exact temp drop I will achieve.

Im also growing indica dominant strains this time which ive read have a better temp tollerance (lucky coincidence) but am still pretty much dead set on getting my environment completely right as i want the best for my girls.

If I cant get the temp down to where I want it with the inlet fan ive seen a small air conditioner / humidifyer for like £46 at maplin that i can set up to pump in cooled air through the inlet fan should I need too.

A Couple of questions for those of you that have mh / hps lights;

1. What kind of temp difference do you get if you have your inlet fan running compared to when it is not running?

2. When do you guys switch your ladies to metal halide? ive read so much contradicting info - some say straight away to train the plant to be strong and some say leave it 2 weeks from sprouting so the plant can handle the intensity of the light.

Rant over peeps, im out...

With those temps ur gonna need an a/c no venting is gonna get it low enough boss...But if u wanna do hydro and not worry about res. temps do some Hempy Buckets thats what i use and its simple and very explosive growth....These have a res but no air pumps no heat issues to worry about..Look it up if u want or need any help u can PM me later bro and GL

Yeah I've seen a decent ac from maplin that was on my shopping list anyhow.

Cheers for the advice but i like DWC, very explosive growth and excellent control over the nutes etc - my res temps aren't an issue as the pumps, fan controller, ballast etc are all outside the tent in a well ventilated area (the room is like 30ft by 12ft with a high roof) ill see what temp drop the inlet fan gives and buy the ac methinks.

Ill keep you posted once i get everything i need to see what the difference has been but cheers for the help fella, appreciated

If you do the math you just said then two 1000's will give you around 4 1/2 lbs. Which knowing by the watt is just the stupidest thing ever to say. You have to account for so much and I can throw strains out there that you would never get what you claim as well as ones that will do better. I think him pulling in around 3-4 lbs is just about right. Especially if it's all the GOOD nugs and not accounting for the smaller fluff that doesn't sell. I too would like to see some sort of journal because I'm pretty sure your just talking out your ass. Some of us actually do large grows.
