these plants are a little over a week old.2 of the pots are empty.they broke ground july 3rd.im using a 50/50 soil perlite mix for the medium (no comments please I know for a fact it works)lol. here is the setup i made I have a dual line air pump and a 12" stone and a regular round stone for aeration.the nutes ive used are flora gro and bloom and micro and superthrive.they are 5" net pots with a white widow#2 kush hybrid strain.Im running a 400 watt mh light and a 125 watt cfl I have more and will probably place them around when the plants get bigger.I will keep everyone posted on the grow I hope my plants straighten up they were old seeds and look weird as hell up close.not sure whats wrong but the new growth their starting looks fine so hopefully they will grow out of the funk their in.7-12

I knew at least 1 person would bring it up even thou i said not to lol.trust me it works and it is kick ass.and alot cheaper than hydroton.it works great and the little amount of soil that bleeds into the soup isnt a problem at all.actually seems to make the roots even stronger and rot resistant.got the setup idea from a friend and ive seen his huge buds in action so i ask no questions just do as he showed me.

Hydroton is cheaper because its reusable forever, soil is not, plus you would think soil would invite unwanted pathogens into your garden. Anyways, hey if it works and gets results for you and your friend I cant knock it. the one little guy you have looks over watered or nute burned.

Correct, i just want to know how the hell can soil and perlite be cheaper than a big bag of clay pebbles which would last you years, im still on the 1st bag i bought for £10 2 years ago. Also this is correct about soil inviting unwanted pest into your grow room, soil contains micro organisms while hydroton doesn't, completely pest free setup. Using soil with a DWC is just asking for pests to invade your otherwise pest free set up. Sorry but there is a reason why no1 else in the world would do that, it's not worth the risk, just buy some hydroton or dia-hydro stones. Also because of the cleanliness of hydroton and being ph neutral you wouldn't get burnt seedlings not until the roots had hit the water and you would had to of fucked up your resevoir for it to happen then. Also i am sorry i know you said no questions but this just bamboozled me. Keep up the growing anyway, gotta fuckin love DWC. Nice1

just checked my gerls a minute ago and their looking great! only the second day and roots are already in the soup :) I get soil for free from a source so no hydroton for me.i will try some later on down the road possibly.
