aiight guys.... FINALLY got my HOt SHot No Pest Strip.... since i did find a couple mites yesterday.... ughhh goddd i fuckin HATE these FUCKIN things!!!! >=O but iom gonna be using it differently than most people.... since i have a cat that livwes in my room adn isnt allowed in the rest of the house since it will attack other ppl/animals. soooo wat im gonna do is wait until my lights go out at 7pm (gonna start 2morrow) and then open the NPS and put it right in front of my plants. and shut the closet door and stick towels underneath the door... sooo no smell can get out while im sleeping in there... and then wen i wake up in the morning b4 work... gonna go in and put the NPS in a plastic airtight ziplock bag... brinbg my cat into my sisters room and then open my closet door and turn my fan on and my fan in the window on too and let all the vapors vent out while im at work... then wen i get home.. bring the cat bak in my room.... and repeat the process again at 7 wen the ligths go out. and ill doo this for a few days... that'll give the NPS 36 hours over those 3 days to get rid of the mites... ill x wat happens after that. im hopin it will kill them.

The no pest strip should be allowed to stay out all the time. The thing with mites is you have to get the eggs. I can tell you how to eliminate them if you are interested.

yeaa i know it should be. but i have the cat that i can really leave anywhere else in the house. and im in my room all the time.. adn sleep in there. and with the weather... it would be wayyy too hott in there if i left it in there adn turned my fan off... =/
and of course id like to know how to get rid of the eggs!!! lmao

Good job Chris trying to stay on top of those little fookers. I have to always work at it this time of year it but it's never totally mite free in the summer. Usually running close to triple figure # of plants doesn't make it any easier. I'm all ears too aeviaanah lol

Hey ive gotten completely rid of these guys a few times. It is a battle tho...this method is recommended for veg and not flower.
Optional first step: Take plants outside and with a sharp spray of water, knock off as many mites and eggs as possible. Next, Mix up a spray bottle with 1 part rubbing alcohol (70-90%) and 2 parts water. This should be roughly 1/3 alcohol to 2/3 water. Add a few drops of dish soap. This will be the aggressive first attack to rid adult mites. After a few days use again...then again in a few days. This will ensure 90 percent of the colony is defeated. Be sure to spray underside and top side. A dip is recommended to ensure full coverage. Id fill a 5 gallon bucket up. There will be more hiding out tho. Go and get a permethrin bomb (one specifically for plants- ive made the mistake of using one that wasnt) Bomb the room and keep it sealed as long as you can. You might be able to find some concentrated permethrin....although im not sure of the dilution rate but it should say on the bottle. This will get the hiders and the colony protectors. After this wait a day and then spray with some neem better yet azatrol or azamax. This should rid of all mites. After a few more days you may choose to use one of the above one more time. The adult mites are easy to rid of, the hard part is getting to the guys that hatch after the initial spray. Spray down all walls and and surrounding carpet. I use azatrol or azamax only and spray before i see any mites. Lower temps and raise humidity if possible...you may want to invest in a co2 kit...ive heard high amounts of co2 will kill any insect...cant vouch for this tho. Keep that no pest strip in there, your cant will be fine. I have two dogs and a cat with two no pest strips in my house....they just say that for liability reasons. Let me know how this works. The trick to mites is constant attacks and with using different ammunition...it takes about 3 weeks of applications to defeat these fuckers 100%. Oh and dont forget to spray around pots and in the topsoil. Azatrol or azamax works systemically meaning you can pour in the soil to get anything hiding in there.

ughhh.. im pissed! i started 3 plants outdoors in the woods about 15 mins from my house... i started them about a month ago... adn checked them a week after that.. adn hvent been down there since... soo i went bak. and i cant fuckin find them!! i looked everywehre!!! damnit! lol. sucks... the worse part is idk if theyre dead or if i jsut cant see them... maybe once the months go on... and it actually starts budding. i can find it a lil easier.. theres just new growth (of other plants) everywhere!

Yeah that sucks but I'm sure they are still there, you might have to wait till the fall when the rest of the foiliage dies around it. We have done plenty of guerilla farming and that's not an uncommon scenario. I know how you feel though man, keep your head up

**i am not gonna post pics up of her yet.... She looks like shit. the mites have been hittin her pretty hard. The leaves are very light. adn u can see the specs everywhere. Soooo im gonna use the no pest strip on monday.. and by next weekend im hopin she'll look better. then i can show you guys pics of her. cuz she is very very frosty. =)
** Heres pics of the Nirvana Strains I have in veg. I am going to take about 3 cuttings from each plants (12 in total) and stick them right in the flowering box. Theyre all wayy too tall for my veg box and are growing into the lights. adn I want to keep them around. Sooo this was the only way i could think about doing it. adn i'd like to do a mini SOG grow. =) jsut gonna be crowded in the flowering room for the 1st few weeks since theres already 4 plants in there. But i gotta do wat u gotta do. i think it will work out good. hopin for a nice yield off them. I know Highlander did a SOG with 24 small clones and looked like he had himself a nice ass harvest. and it was under a single 400 watt HPS as well. Soooo lets give it a try!!
