i have 9 seedings 4 out of the 9 seeds have popped and i need to know if i should use the humidity dome for all of them or just the 4 until the others pop?
UMMM wrong......how do u get mold on something that is 3-7 days old...LOLif you want to risk having mold issues go for the humidity. only use domes for clones.
r u serious dude??? mold can grow on anything regardless of the age.....keep rocking the dome and you will find out yourselfUMMM wrong......how do u get mold on something that is 3-7 days old...LOL
i can only speak for myself...but yes i have used a dome for seeds and cloning both....i not saying your absolutely positively gonna get mold if u use a dome...i should have clarified and said that it increases the chances...and im not saying that you cant use it for popping seeds and with seedlings...im just saying that it isnt neccessary?...i personally always use a dome if im cloning in rockwool...if im cloning in my bubblecloner i dont use a dome...and with seeds and seedlings, i never use a dome...i have in the past, but for MY situation, i feel they are unnessary.....and if i came off as cocky earlier, i apologize...im not that type of dude at all...i come on here hoping to learn something everyday...ganjaAre any of the people talking poorly about the dome experienced with using them? I'm pretty sure that after 4 years of horticulture classes and ALWAYS using a top on every container we've ever planted seeds on...ive never once ran into an issue with mold. The key is to NOT over water them....and once you start seeing seeds start germing...to pop the corner up a bit and let some of the humidity out but not all of it..and once they have all germed your completely remove the top.
I'm not a cocky person at all but to all of those swearing its only for clones is wrong....actually i've NEVER used a dome while cloning the plants....just a little bit of root toner and straight into dirt.
very well said....lol...everyone is a horticulture expert when they try and prove a point...paper towel method in a mason jar, see taproot put in dirt. no humidity dme...and 100% germ success rate. to each his own though. if it works...keep on doin it!
