Hydroponic newbie help

I was looking on investing in a hydro ponic system but i dont kno how to start off. i need to kno what lights i need for both vegging and flowering. and what kind of nutes i need for the best results. and if im leaving anything out, add it in there. i am looking at getting a HPS setup. but i saw these t5 or whatever lamps and was wondering if that would work better then using a MH bulb, so practicaly im saying whats the best bulbs

is a metal halide light best for veging or is mercury? and just a curious question. what if u have a HPS light in a room that only goes so high, and your plants grow more and more til they go close to the lamp and they start to burn, what do you do? cut the branches?

and also, is there like a link to a post or another website taht shows the easiest methods of DIY hydroponics. ive seen a couple posts, but i lost them. particulay looking at the DWC, or PVC

you need to keep your light above your plants probably like a foot for an hps theres a diy forum here at rollitup that has some diy dwc hydrosetups

thats awesome thanks. i also want to know what if i go get a water pump and another tub, isnt there a way to combine that with that dwc to make it better or something?

You can add a res to supply multiple tubs/buckets, yes. Or add a dripper to topfeed a dwc.

There's tons of theory/build info on this kind of system.

HA i googled the fuck out of this shit for about 3 hours and i cant find nothing except buisness selling it, nothing about how to make it, if u find something when u googled it post it up please.
I also went and bought all the metarials except one thing that i couldnt find at walmart or homedepot which is the .......net pots!
if there is any way to make these. it would be helpful to give me and others the information

Get a HPS ballast. With this you can run either HPS or MH bulbs. just buy the right bulb for the ballast (voltage wise) and you can switch them out. MH is best for vegging and HPS is best for flowering. If you can only afford one bulb get an hps. The T 5 is a great system but fairly expensive. Its used for vegging.

ok im getting the kit that comes with both bulbs and all the shit for the light. but not im concerned about my Hydro setup. i made the one that was off the link you gave me. but i dont kno anything about nutes and when and how i should plant my plants in there. should i sprout them and let them grow in the hydrocorn or what? and what nutes do i buy and how do i use them? do i just dump them in the rez. also i could buy a water pump and another rez, would that help? IM a totally noobie and im going straight in, so you guys will basicaly be growing this with me.

Sounds like you need to do more research before starting. Nobody is going to give you every single answer you require.

All your answers are easy to find.

Thats classic. And on point. Sounds like exzile has the drive to get things done. Just have to be a little more self sufficient in getting the info. Asking to clarify something is fine.

But asking how to from building system to feeding etc. is just asking to be spoonfed.

I bet by the end of the year exzile will be teaching someone who was in his shoes. And will say the same thing you just did. Which is correct.
