I found these while getting ready to move in a few months.I bought them several years ago.I know nothing about them except I think they where made in the 50's.I know they arent worth much but to me.I still thought others might enjoy seeing them.They are in pretty decent shape,1 jar has some hairline cracks going down the side.I cant keep from thinking that there was more to a set,but maybe not.Still kinda kool I t hink.

Oh wow, those are nice my friend.

I was thinking of like what I have. I've got some old vintage/antiques. I love antiques actually.. I also go to Estate sales and garage sales every weekend. You'd be amazed at some of the stuff you can find going to garage/estate sales.. and some of it you can get at a good price.

But yeah, I love antiques and old vintage stuff. I actually got lucky and acquired quite a few vintage 'Pepsi Cola' and 'Coca-Cola' items. One of my favorite pieces that I got from that sale.. was the 'Diet Coca-Cola' vintage 'Battery Operated' wall clock.. its got the minature 'Diet Coca-Cola' sign down below the clock.. its a really really nice clock.. keeps time perfectly and is in great condition. It was made back in 1988 by Ridan Displays out of New York. They're selling these clocks on Ebay for around $40 to $100 (depending on condition).. I only paid $7.50 for it at the sale. ;)

I do alot of that though.. buying and reselling items. It's a great side income as long as you know what your doing.

Just this past weekend.. I found some 1940's Carne Seca Carnival glass.. it cleaned up nicely with some soap and water. I paid $5 for the piece and I did my research once I got back home that day and found out that the piece is worth about $30.00 - so once again.. I made 6x my money back. I haven't sold any of the items yet.. but that won't be too hard to do. I'm eventually opening up my own online store.. probably on Ebay. My brother-inlaw does that on the side and makes fairly good money with it. I don't do it for the making money part.. I mean, sure I do.. but to a certain point. I mainly do it, because its something I have passion for doing. I just love it!

I've also got some vintage curing jars that I'm thinking of using here next harvest. Just need to clean them out.


You've got some nice jars there though man.. those are def. old and vintage. I like how their even labeled.. that's pained on the ceramic right?

Yes the lettering is part of the glaze.
Well here is a pic of the tag on the bottom.Maybe you would know more about it then I have found out,,
here is what it says,A Rumpus Room Original,By St.Pierre&Patterson,Japan.Ive enclosed a pic of the tag on the bottom,the mark behind the person on the left is not a scratch it looks like it was printed on the label as well.The opium jar has the only legible tag,the spanish fly jar has where it was peeled off and the marijuana jar has no signs of a tag at all.DSC00906.JPGDSC00906.JPG

my family's got some fine high quality china made in occupied japan.

those are worth a pretty penny but my family's not selling them.... EVER!!!!!!!!!!!

Very cool and interesting piece of history these are. Would be funny to see them sitting next to a cookie jar in your kitchen. lol

i've found all kinds of cool stash jars at second hand stores that i buy as gifts for friends when they take a bit of my smoke home with them. those are a nice find.

Hey,Yea there is a crack in the marijuana jar and the opium jar,the spanish fly jar is in perfect shape tho,of course lol.If I was to sit them next to my cookie jar it would happen to be the mail pouch barn ceramic cookie jar I have.But its not very old its only about 6 years old and never seen a cookie.

Very nice. Gotta love a chewing tobacco cookie jar. lol

those are beautiful I would take them to an antiques dealer to see more history about them.
