Hardcore Grow Tips for Serious Growers IMO

What do you think about removing the budsites from the lower branches, but leaving all the fan leaves and the branches....would this add to the processing power of the plant overall, or would these "empty" branches just use energy to exist, making the plant less efficient?

I think it depends on your strain and veg time. Some plants you have to grow big before you flip them. But with sog you dont really need to do it. I think its good because there is more air flow. It also depends on how many plants your crowding together. If you doing one per sq foot then you can leave them.
Mostly depends on the height of the plant.
I take all the junk off because i have to water a lot of plants. I need to see the pots. I try to fill the canopy fully so there isnt much light reaching the bottom of the plants. So i cant see unless its gone.
Just dont go overboard. Do it around day 10 after flipping them into flower. Or as soon as you see flowers forming. Just make sure you do the same for each plant because they might stretch more than they should.
When i clone, i take the bottom branches off anyways, so i dont have to prune so much when im in 12/12.

Or sorry missunderstood. Yea take it all off. The bud will grow back on the branches and waste energy

Try a sativa indica hybrid. white widow is pretty kills and thinking of doing a 1 light grow tent of it. Let it go 9 weeks and drop the time to 8 hours light for the last week.

Thanks for the input, I think I am going to do a 3 way side by side. In the first tray of 9 plants, I'll remove literally ALL the lower branches. On the 2nd tray, I'll leave it all on. Then on the third tray I was thinking of trying the 'cut the budsites out' but since you let me know they will just grow back, I'm unsure about what to do with the third tray.

Just make sure your lights overlap and the canopy is even. You might have a hard time doing that because the plants are gonna stretch a bit more. Try to keep your plants in the middle of the room rather than close to the wall. I Dont do side by sides I go by crops.
Just take all the tiny bud sites off the branches. U dont have to take full branches and wouldnt if i was doing only 9.
Like i said i mostly do it so nothing is close to the dirt. But the skimpy ones that grow throught the flowering stage could be removed. thats why i say to do it after 10 days.
Im recently doing a comparison but with a whole crop not just a table. First i was using advanced three part and now im using hydrofuel bloom a+b. But the first two weeks im always feeding them advanced with a week one=1-1-1+ a bit. and week two= 2-2-2
week 3 im running 1000. And this grow i did less pruning. Cept the shorter ones i prun so they catch up height wise and it seems to be working. i dont let the smaller ones go to waste and the outside row i flip a pot upside down and put the plant on the pot so its above canopy height so they get lite up from the side. i have to stake all my plants cause after day 30 they are falling over. And this crop really smells lemony. i notice far more terponoids and aroma from these plants. im expecting more yeild due to canopy control and increased airflow. With more airflow you can keep your lights close. My 1000's are 14 inches above the plants. i keep the shorter ones directly under the lights and the taller ones on the sides. But since i did less pruning they seem to be even. Cause if your gonna prune they are gonna stretch more.

Hey guys try finisher by green planet.
The last week of bud i lower my light hours by one hour. So 11on-13 off. I always keep the a/c and fans on all night for the last week. and bring the room down to 15C. Im using finisher at full strenght once a week for week 7-8 and plain water for the last one watering.
I grow for AAA so it quality before quantity. I dont always get triple. But i always try to.
Thats why i cold stress them the last week. Brings out more color. It makes sense because in the outdoors, it gets cooler at the end of the season. Makes my purple purple. So far its really working. Also a calcium def makes them turn purple. So since my water is low of Cal i stop using Calmag two weeks prior. And i always cut out vitamins and silicon. So they wont be stress resistent.
Since im growing purplekush, they get more purple than other non purple strains. I feed 3/4 strenght on week 7. Peat has a low CEC and the nutrients dont stay for long. Thats why i say Feed then flush. feed them what they need for the week, let them dry, and flush it out to prepare for the next week. So you dont get a salt build up. Just make sure your pots are nice and dry before you flush them. But before they wilt.

bumppp
i recently vent towards the sealed room. still vent room to room because they are on differnt light cycles. So no outtakes going outside. just dehums and a/c. The reason i do this is to keep even temps in the room thats off and keep the co2 kicking around both rooms. Same size fan going in and out to both rooms.

Spot on lads. Nice info & alot to digest!!!! I grow in 2 rooms in the SW of the UK. Got White widow, Pure Ak, Vanilla Kush, & Critical on the go right now. Will have to upload pics in week or two. They're all ripening up luverly, yum yum....
Don't you just hate the wait:wall:, then just toke your head off!!
Room1 has 20 plants vegging, room 2 has 8 ripening. Will be taking cuttings from room 1, just after I empty room 2.
Then will flower all from room 1, & by then should have room 3 set up. All in hand so will let you know how I do ok. Again cheers for all your help....:bigjoint:bongsmilie:eyesmoke::sleep:
