What happens if I remove soil around roots and plant it again?

Hi, Im a first time grower, and I kind overwatered my baby plant, but its alive. The problem was that the crappy soil I got compacted along with the overwater period and turned into a rock lol, becomming a slow growth. So I thought about transplanting it into another containner, bigger, full filled with some quality soil this time. But then I thought about removing that soil of the roots (it was a very bad soil) and putting it into the new soil, so the roots could have a fresh start and grow stonger. So gentilly I removed it with some water and the roots were completly free. Now, thinking a little better, I maybe had commited a cannabiscide, actualy 2 because I did it with both of my plants, what do you guys think?
One was like 11,5 cm tall (45 days) and the other one about 6,5 cm (20 days). I dont know measures in inches, sorry :(
And another silly question is that the new containners I put them are red plastic, and observing it in the sun, maybe it wasnt the best decision, because the interior are not total dark, light can pass a little bit through it.
Please help me, any sugestions is good!

You should be fine. I always water well after transplant and let the root ball reestablish. Depending on your choice of soil, you may want to consider adding perlite to help with aeration on your future grows.

sounds like you know what you need to do to improve your plant growth, you have the right idea. Tommy is right it is always a good idea to add perlite to you mix to add drainage and air to your root zone. If you can, pick up some superthrive from the store and add it to the water you will use during transplant, this helps the plant get through the stress of transplant. Good luck with it I'm sure it will work out for you! Respect

you cant paint the inside of your containers white and it will stop the light. it doesnt hurt them to remove the bad soil. i would NOT leave the roots exposed to light or air for very long or youll be facing a pruned root problem and they wont grow until new roots are formed. like kbo ca said, you can use superthrive or my recommendation would be Dyna-gro Pro-tekt. just make sure that their is plenty or airation in your new soil or it will be hard to grow through. worm castings work well too for that. or small pea gravel. it just breaks up the consistency of the soil.good luck

Yeah I looked for that, but the problem is that in my country, brazil, is really hard to find some specialized growing store, and if you do, it will be so dam expensive, because everything would be imported. I wanna get some better quality seeds before atempting to invest a lot of money into it, or I can end up with males and waste all my money and time hehe. I found a store that sells perlite, vermiculite, rockwool and all that stuff, along with some imported soils mix, like sunshine mix #6 and coco coir golden mix. They even sell growboxes haha and some imported fertilizers like the Peters Professional brand.
To sum up, it would cost around 60 dollars each plant :( without the cost of the seeds

FUCK THAT!!!! id find a new way of doing it. are you growing indoors or out? if you have any miracle grow products available in your area, use those. think tomatoes.. they grow almost identically to weed.. a good grow and bloom nute system is all you really need. idk what a sack of weed costs there but its $50-70 USD an ounce here for regular ass dirt weed and about $350-500 oz for sensemillia (seedless).. seeds are relatively inexpensive... $10-50 for good ones through the attitude seed bank..

Im growing outdoors, in containners, so the 60 dollars/plant is only the cost of the soil and fertilizers. Im looking right now at the seedbanks to choose which strain I will be getting. Thinking about the White Russian autoflowering and feminized.... 9 euros each seed where I found

Just remember the plant will be kinda shocked for a while. Don't be surprised if it droops a bit or something.

If u yank the plant out, whack the soil outta the roots, it will be so shocked i doubt it will recover. Not a good idea bro. Red containers ok.
