What up RIU, how's it growing? Welcome to my first grow journal. My previous two grows here have been posted on the indoor growing thread. Doing a journal seems to be more appropriate. So I ordered a bunch of "souvenirs" from the attitude and for my medicinal purposes I am growing "The Ultimate" from Dutch Passion Seed Co. Here is the strain info from the attitudes site:
Dutch Passion The Ultimate is from careful breeding. We have created one of our most important strains, we call it The Ultimate as it combines some of the heaviest yields we have ever seen with genuine connoisseur quality.
It's cannabis seeds produce heights of 60-75cm, ideal for the indoor grow room. Flowering time is 8-10 weeks, with explosive bud growth in the last 2 weeks. The Ultimate (50% Indica, 50% Sativa) will take plenty of nutrients during the growth cycle and is resistant to moulds and bud rot making it a good greenhouse choice too.
Our growers have never seen a plant yield as heavily with this level of quality. This is a recession busting strain of epic proportions and is guaranteed not to disappoint. This strain is already setting new standards amongst the Dutch commercial growers and is set to become a Dutch Passion legend.
I'll be growing two of these ladies with an attempt at Las Fingerez mini movable scrog technique. Hopefully I can do em both justice. This is my fourth grow with a lot to learn still! I have been pretty successful thus far and have learned a lot from each grow! Here's a little run down of what I'm working with. I have a 270W Enhanced Spectrum Supernova LED from hidhut. It's the only light I have used in my 9 months of growing and has proven itself with each grow! Please no H8RS! LED's DO work so please keep the H8 out of my journal! I'm here to learn how to grow the finest medicine I can, not to H8 on anyone and the methods they use! For at least another year I am limited in space so I built a cabinet inside of my closet. It measures 5'Hx3'Wx2'D. It is lined with mylar inside and has a 6" intake hole with a 4" exhaust connected to a can fan and carbon filter. Inside I have a greenair atmospheric controller running the show. My exhaust is controlled by it as well as my co2 system. I have a Digigro coco co2 controller/monitor. It automatically keeps the ppm's at 1500ppm. I have a 20lb tank and regulator on the outside. Co2 shuts off when exhaust comes on and comes back on when exhaust is off. Also shuts off when lights out.
I use coco as my medium and will be using air-pots for the first time this grow. My last grow I used Canna coco A&B, rhizotonic, cannazyme, growtek calmax, and Atami Bloombastic. I have a little bit of the a&b left, not enough for a full grow. I think the cannazyme is low also. At the hydro store the other day the lady was talking up the House and Garden nutes. They do seem to be a lot cheaper than canna. Anyone use H and G nutes. Are they comparable to Canna. I like the feed chart they gave. Just contemplating trying out the H and G this grow. I use RO water also that I buy from the machine.
So I soaked the seeds overnight in some water, put em between some moist napkins on a saucer inside of a produce bag. I created a little dome and placed on my cable modem. The seeds have germed and are now in the coco. Should pop in a couple days. I think that's all I got for now, Thanks for stopping by to check out my first Journal! Feel free to post your cool thoughts and advice!
