Cloning.
Since i run two differnt cycles i take clones for my crops from clones(donors) Here is advice for cloning in peat pucks.
DONT open the the flaps on the dome untill they root.
I had better luck with not slicing the stem. just a 45 cut.
Make sure you sqeeze the water out of the pucks before pinching. When they dry Dont water them to much. just get the bottom of the pucks wet. They will soak it up. I keep cool temps outside of the domes and place the trays on a heating mat. Try to use ro water or soft water with no chemicals. I switched from city water to well water and have 95% success.
As to cloning, my only experience was my first time which produced a 100% success rate to rooting, but later about 5 of them died after re potting from root damage when separating the cubes (i used Rapid Rooter cubes with Root Tech cloning gel) because i let the clones root for way too long(like 2 weeks haha), i found several root hairs that stretched over 12" running along the bottom of the tray. Any way... I took my clones no less than 2" tall because my Gods Gift plant was a really short bushy sucker :) its going to be one giant bud when im done with it :) But i tried to stick to about 4" tall. I cut them below the 4th node from the top and then peeled the 4th nodes fan leaf (saving the node) down to my 45degree cut and covered all of the open tissue with rooting formula, ill have to show you some pics of my base stems and some of the double main stems i got from the start when i get a chance. I think i got some of the double mains because the roots formed very near the bottom node and gave those specific plants almost like a double root system :) And as i stated, not as clearly, these are all clones from my first grow of 5 different strains :) Gods Gift, Boyzenberry, Chernobyl, Bubblewreck, Lambs Bread and Blue Dream

all my clones root in 7-10 days. I harden them off by opening the dome for half a day for a couple days and after i plant i spray them with two drops of b52 per litre and hanging the light a bit higher untill they perk up.

Yea it all comes down to strain, water and temps. If one of those are off you will have problems.
People get more rot issues because of the water they are using. In my experiance with purple kush and city water was.. I got rot and now im using soften water i get much cleaner and better results. Its more if you know how to clone in certian mediums as well. That is easy to find out because there isnt many mediums that people clone in. That is what the search is for.

Yes, maybe people would accuatly learn good info. Instead of people sharing bad info that they got from other threads. Most of it isnt true. I go with what works for me. It might work for you. But you will learn fast when put in that type of situation.

LOL. It's a good thread anyway and demonstrates your knowledge. I'll pay attention to your posts going forward. Your security thread is a little over the top tho lol. bars, kickers, cams. My security is all about camo and low-profile. Thieves can't steal what they don't know about. My house (and me) make it look like Andy Griffith lives there.

I'm perpetual and have gone away from zero-veg clones because of obvious yield differences. You can stuff tall sog plants in the same space you stuff zero-veggers, so I veg a couple weeks now.

Yea its good to keep them around 3 feet tall. They get more solid bud through-out the plant. Less popcorn. Once you go over 3 feet tall and really crowded plants you start getting more popcorn. There will always be some popcorn bud. its just how much you like to clean them. Alot of people pluck fan leaves out to get more light down. I dont bother with that tho. Just let them go. I take the bottom leaves off so i can see the pots im watering.

Yea about the security thread. I live in a place where theives go house to house and do hum checks. Lisening for fans when they put there greesy ears up to a window. They also sit at grow stores and wait to follow people home. I laugh when they try. I never go right from the store to my house. I make sure i dont get followed to the spot where i live and even then i make sure im not getting followed to my grow. Just dont get followed and you will be alright.

Here is another little tip to gain extra yeild..
The short plants or the plants around your garden that arent getting as much light is a waste. Here is what i do. I flip a pot upside down and raise the plant up. So its taller than the other plants. It gets so much light because its because vert style. I want to do a vert garden with milk crates. I think i could be pulling a gram per watt with that style.

Are you in Oakland or San Jose? Where else do fools scope on grow stores and go house to house??

I'm in Southern Canada and we have similar problems here. Granted, they're far from common problems...but I've heard a few different stories myself and haven't been growing long at all.

Since its summer i had to upgrade my outtakes. The fans going to outside need to match the ones going into the room. So i put a bigger fan to go out. Because since i added a room im venting into the room in the middle than going outside. So i only need one fan going out. Its on a filter and does 1730 cfm. max can fan. So now i saved a intake fan because in summer i keep the outtakes and intakes on 24/7. So the room with always have pressure and wont take my walls down.
A few other tips.
Ditch PH UP and grab potassium silicate. I add a half cup of it to a barrel with 1200ppm and it brings the ph in the ideal range. 6-6.5 depending on base strength.
I only use the three part in veg and first two weeks of 12/12. Then i switch over to green planets base and additives. Hydro fuel a+b and this stuff called Massive. and aussie tonic for vitamins. I also add a table spoon of monster bloom in the important weeks 4-6 per barrel
