Nothing major done to it. But it was fast. Probably my favorite car.

the new lingenfelter ZR1 beat a Nissan modded GTR on both the ring and the 1/4 mile.

9 seconds, street legal, A/C, Radio.....
all working, you can drive it home listening to mozart...prob what this guy had on when he did 9 seconds.......

a civic wants to run less than 12 seconds it needs to be completely stripped barebone and has to pretty much be a shell of a civic with a roll cage inside it.... a/c, radio??? too much weight....

I don't get the fighting between cars. A cool car is a cool car. But I'll admit that I enjoy imports a lot more.

Check out these wheels. :D

04 Civic Si
Custom Koni double adjustable race dampers/coilovers set up with extra travel, Swift springs(2.25/2 hz.), JDM Type R: aluminum lcas w/solid offset bushings, custom caster/camber plates, widened track, custom re-engineered suspension points, R chassis stiffeners, R torsion bars, Ecsta XS tires(sticky), same weight as a 91 Civic. Built to handle - much better than an R. Lots of other stuff. Daily driver. :)

Worse thing about owning a Honda: Honda forums and the little douche bags that hang there. No offense to the decent guys!
This pic is about stage 3 (stage 2 was A-Spec (Acura) coilovers) with the Koni yellows and Eibach, not the race Konis. The gold springs are Swifts, which are expensive but very accurate and light. They are also thinner and lighter so they give more travel and allow for a longer spring. Swifts bounce "quicker" which helps keep tires planted to the pavement. This set up takes about 14 lbs. of unsprung off the front suspension. The Koni double adjustables are much lighter.

One of the weaknesses of the EP3 Si is so so suspension. I have pretty much changed that completely. The stock caster is about zilch. This car has 6*. Caster is basically usable camber in the corners and allows me to use little camber on the street. Less camber also improves straight line braking and traction.

To be fair, I saw a guy at our local track (when it was still open) do about 11.4 in a civic. Had full interior, naturally aspirated. He had slicks though, traction is everything. And a good driver does wonders :)

I'm in Arizona. Don't like drifting. Just road race tracks. I will do a K24 something or other someday - the tranny/motor will be the last thing to do. The next step is taking off 350 more lbs. and that's expensive. Then the body, 7" shorter and very retro but very aero efficient:

Next project will be an X1/9 with a K24 variant. Sort of like this but with more body work:

Final project will be a one off mid engine with a, you guessed it, K24 variant. 1400 lbs., very aero efficient, easy 50+ mpg, and very fast. Sorry, I suck at computers but you get the gist:

Sorry, got carried away. I'm such a gearhead.

hashbro dude just dump ur car with tein n thats all you need n strip ur interior and change the hood to carbon fiber, carbon fiber wing, get some lightweight wheels, take out ur seats and gut out the interior, get some racing seats and you good. No need to go fancy cuz its a waste of money n time. n u should do a frankestein or supercharge it. you know u gotta know how to fix em so u dont waste alot of money on something that wont do u much. :) and race tracks is the same thing as circuits btw if u didnt know that, just say circuits for now on

??? Why would I go backwards with Teins? I'm using custom double adjustable racing Konis. Dumping will adversely affect handling. I'm dropped about 1.5". I've been racing SCCA for twenty five years and historic for five. I kinda have the performance part down. The trouble with my mods is it would have to be in a very competitive group and would need at least 400 hp. That's why it's my daily driver and not a full time track car. It is an extremely capable track days car. Every bit as capable as early civics (I've had seven) but a better chassis for the track. Smooth as silk.
