"The scarcity of fresh water resources and the need for additional water supplies is already critical in many arid regions of the world" Direct quote from my previous post. But what does the USGS know anyways.(that was sarcasm so you all know) How right you are Robert. Not many readers around here........
there are plenty of arid parts of the world that doesn't mean we are running out of water! They have been arid for a while. and their government doesn't have the means/money to bring in water! have you been to the mountains lately? me and a buddy grow by a reservoir. The rancher that has the water right said it is higher than it has been in the last 10 years but has never been low! We suck thousands of gallons out of the reservoir, if there was a water shortage the rancher would tell us not to, instead of telling us the best place to back the truck up! Just because one parts of the planet are dry doesn't mean the rest of the world is running out of water!
if it was such an issue mountain lakes and such would be drying up but they aren't! crater lake oregon got 120 inches more snow last winter that average. Go look at conditions around you and how they have changed over the last 100-200 years! not a lot! Then go look at the conditions of the places that have water supply issues and tell me they didn't have water supply issues 100 years ago, you can't!

All some people do is read! and when they read something they don't like they put it down. instead of looking at history and doing a little of their own research!

I don't get your guys logic for you to say there is no global warming. Do you guys have PhD in science? Do you feel you have a better grasp on the worlds functions than leading scientists of the world?? It's a fact our ozone is depleting from gases and pollution. These holes in the ozone let in more UV rays. This is a fact it's not debatable or an opinion. It's not a theroy. To me you guys sounds like somebody saying green doesn't mean go on a stoplight. I don't understand how you can contest this. Your like people back in the day that wouldn't accept the fact that the world was round.

Desalination requires energy to carry out. Transporting the fresh water inland requires energy. Sure we can make fresh water but whats it going to cost per gallon? Its just not as simple as you think it is..
I bet you liked the movie supersize me! check his food log, oh wait you cant he wont give it up! he bullshits his way through it for shock value and to make a few dollars! watch the movie fat head, it points out the flaws in the movie instead of me listing them.
Funny we were on a verge of an ice age 50 years ago! now we are to hot and going to run out of water! HAHAHA I got plenty of lakes and rivers and snow around me I'm not to worried! But hey if it's global warming the mountain snow will melt giving us plenty of water! so maybe you should worry about getting cooked by global warming before you worry about running out of water!

Because there are plenty of scientists top scientists that say its crap! I believe in green house gasses and damaging the ozone layer but not the warming part! I'm not saying us putting emissions in the air isn't bad! the only point I have argued is about water and warming!

Give me one quote of one scientist saying that the greenhouse effect is crap!! It's a fact man, our pollution is causing this and in turn causing global warming. If you wanna keep denying science go ahead. I guess you think men on the moon is a hoax too.

This is the best one! The us senate and the U.N. are getting challenged by more than 650 international scientists!

How many more do you want! Like I said before all some people do is read, but stop reading when they see something they don't like! I'm glad you all worry about it so much, now I don't have to! I feel safe with you guys out there doing something about it, besides only reading one side of the story! Now I know you guys really didn't take the time to look up the other side!

All I have to say now is HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Calm down and worry about something you can actually do something about!

Ok you win, but most scientists accept the greenhouse effect just like most accept evolution. I guess Im with the majority. I think our pollution and gases have to be messes up our skies and ozones.
no not most! most is your opinion! my opinion is most are against it! no one has counted how many are against it and how many are for it!

Okay you win a handful of scientists here and there do reject it, but our leading organizations and top guys all accept it like NASA and the EPA and plenty others. I feel as though our pollution and gases have to be effecting our skies and ozones in a bad way. Some scientists also don't believe evolution, but again I'll go with the majority of scientists on this one. To each his own I guess. We can't all think believe the same things.

The movie "Flow " is pretty interesting if anyone is actually interested. I would suggest some books but I think its obvious how much everyone reads.

It's really funny you guys talk about not reading much! Read more than one side to the story and form your own opinion! someone here on RIU had the perfect quote in his sig! "Faith is the death of knowledge". I think that's about how it went! I'll have to + rep him next time I see it!

read the last link I posted! The US senate and the United nations are getting challenged on the global warming issue by way more scientists than nasa has working on it! the leading organizations are run buy the government!

you aren't reading any of my links are you? It was being disputed in Poland at a UNITED NATIONS MEETING! The whole not reading thing again! no 650 isn't a lot but how many do you expect to go to a U.N. meeting.
