Just moved plant from one DWC to another MAJOR DROOPING plz help

This is my first post so......

Hey everyone, First off thanks for taking a look at my thread and sorry for the messyness of this post. Let me explain my setup a little before I start asking questions. Im growing in my closet with a 4x4x7 Secret Jardin tent, 600 HPS Hortilux. 6 inch camfan for exhaust and a 4inch camfan for intake. I also have an 9 inch fan that oscillates around. Room temp stays from 78-83 degrees, humidity is around 35-45 percent most of the time. Res Ph stays between 5.5 and 6.2

Now I have had these lady's in a dwc since cuttings. They were in a 15 gallon rubbermaid tote that i sealed shut from light. I was using half nuts and everything was great. I did have alittle issue with water temps alittle to high around 27 Celsius. So yesterday I went and bought a 100 liter cooler and a 2 inch insulation. i took the cooler lid off, put the insulation on the top with my holes for my plant. got everything set up left for the night came back and everything was ok, but this morning when i came and took a look the plant is seriously drooping I wish i could get a picture up but i cant at the moment. When i mean drooping i mean the whole thing almost looks wilted its green as hell all the branches are still up but every leaf is down. and i mean down like hanging.

this is only my second grow and first with this set up im still in vegging. the only thing i could think of would be since i moved it into such a bigger tank that i didnt have the same amount of oxygen in the water so i went to petco and got thier 25 buck 4 outlet air pump and got 4 12inch air stones to add to it and did so. can you guys give me any advise as to why my plants would be drooping so bad? I can only think of shock and the oxygen? thanks agian

Wish I could help, but I have no idea. As long as the water is moving from the bubbles then you have enough O2. Are the roots fully submerged? They actually get more air from the root space between the water and lid. Hmmm...

So the first two show the one plant in the front left, and the third is its roots and the depth they are kept at. ph right now is at 5.7 and water temp is at 72. tent temp is at 81. I just dont understand why its drooping that was the best looking one.

I don't know man it looks like u may have shocked the plant somehow dureing transplant to the new tub. I've had plants wanna droop a little but nothing like that. Long as your ph and ppm where the same in the new tub as they where in the old tub that shouldn't have happened. I've only seen that happen once before was when I literally dropped a plant in the res cause the net pot hole was too big and it fell thru. Weird man maybe the plant was just touchy to begin with its not hard to shock and kill a plant but not too common either. U must have done something it didn't like when u moved it all I can think

Hmm I dont know if my ppm was the same, I dont have a way to read my ppm at the moment. I didnt drop her but yeah she is in shoke pretty bad. Think she will pull out of it or when it looks like this should I just replace?

Were the roots tangled up when you moved them? Those roots don't look that good to me and man that plant got hosed.

If you had to separate them and while doing so damaged a bunch of roots that would be bad. Not sure if it would do that much damage that quickly. It looks like someone sprayed that one plant with Killzall.

Whatever it was severely shocked the plant and looks like its a gonner. Happens man I've had it happen. Guess u could wait it out u never know. If u have another to replace it then id say yea wait a bit but replace it if it doesn't show any improvement. Sorry about the luck man.
Def get urself a ppm reader soon as u can that may be exactly it. Some strains are very picky those are the ones I usually end up chopping down and canning anyhow but I could see a sudden change shocking a picky eating plant.
Must haves are a ph pen and ppm meter for sure if u wanna be able to completely control your grow.

Yeah, from the picture, she's past saving. Sorry to tell you. Sucks. I don't have a ppm pen, and never had a problem. Do I really need one?

Bro very simply yes.
Don't get me wrong I grew without a ppm meter for the longest never really had any problems.
But until I got one only then did I truly get complete control over my reservoirs.
U can't rely on the manufacturers feed regimens. At half strength I've tested my own nutes and was equivelant to over 40000ppms useing them all together like they suggest.
That being said. I don't believe its a good thing to underfeed ur plants either which also happens following the directions as well.
So short answer form yes bro get a meter.
Play with the numbers and feed them properly.
Hope that makes sence.
Also helps out a lot for example here in this thread he may not have shocked the plant if he had the reservoirs popping on the same levels before he moved the plants I'm almost positive that's what happened here.
Peace.

You said that you just switched out to a cooler in order to drop the temperatures of your water but keep in mind that because you are doing dwc, your air pump is blasting that water with 78-83* air from your room unless you have it in another room location. My guess as to why you wilted is most likely the amount of roots you had above your waterline was most likely considerably higher than when you changed to this new one. Try raising your water line to what it was before.

Also since your rez temps run high, drop into the https://www.rollitup.org/dwc-bubbleponics/361430-how-breed-your-own-beneficial.html . It covers a very inexpensive method of protecting your reservoir from slime and other baddies.

Best of luck to you and happy growing.

Thanks for all the info guys, I really appreciate it. I am using Great White at the moment though, im not sure if thats better or how that compares to breeding your own beneficial microbes.

And id also be curious as to what ppm meter you suggest.

Puller her out last night didnt look like she was going to make it, stuck a new plant in shes a beauty

RIP, Sorry to hear it, but it happens. Don't let it get you down. Great White is beneficial microbes. I use it and love it. I never have build up on air stones or gunk in water. My roots are never white once I start using my flowering nutes, but that's because the nutes are dark.
