I'm currently LST'ing 1 x big buddha quasar and 1 x g13 labs white widow- as as for the pics go how much longer does the BBQ (pink pot) have to go before i should go 12/12, she's almost at her 50 days from seeds mark, but i've been thinking should i let eh colas grow bigger? - i have topp'd them once or twice (a little above where yellow pipe cleaners are now)

thanks.
same with the white widow but the white widow was severely damaged but is making a come back :D

about 2 more months for best results to be honest. I guess you really need to give more details to get a better guesstimate but right now she will produce around a quarter ounce if you flowered her under an HPS 400W+ - give her 2 months or more and we are talking 2.5 ounces to 10 ounces under that same light assuming she gets to be a large bush.

well i'm currently using a 150w hps, thinking of upping to 400w
temps are fine.

she's (as said) in 2 weeks she'll be hitting her 50 mark and well that
s pretty much 2 months man. shit, is it lst that takes forever or is it the fact that first month is based on growing the main stem to about 6 nodes then lst'ing for 2 months after??

you'd be better off if you stopped cutting your leaves off.
i agree your plants look bare and looks to me like you have cut all the fan leaves from the main stem and this is causing stunted/slow growth because there are no larger leaves to create photosynthesis which as we all know is the absolute foundation of a plants speedy growth and vigor. i got 2 clones i just started lst'ing and they are 2 weeks old and much larger but then again i havent cut any leaves.

They look a bit small for 50 days dont you think?
like i said above, they are approaching the 50 day mark in about 2 weeks or so, and even then by reading some things, the sprout stage takes about 2 weeks off total time so actually they might have been veggin for maybe 25 instead of like 35+, ionly have 1 150hps and really i didn't even need to lst, i have 5 ft of grow space ig i just got eager and wanted to try it

well i do that because i've read it actually saves energy and develop for those that have been cut off and now energy is being diverted into growing the plants branches/stalks. not to mention i've seen other lst's and shtuff that keep those off so that center mass is built instead of trying to grow everything slowly itself, there's still planty of leaves to be used for that and even a dose of co2 here and there. like when people cut the leaves in order to slow growth/concentration on the leaves themselves and focus more so on stalks and new growth. i could've read wrong but there's a lot of ish out there on it :P

btw i was experimenting and seeing what happens (if what i read was true), even with the fan leaves cut off the plant is growing at the same rate it seems, maybe even a little now since i cut them (fans) off that's when my grow sites starting kicking in. lemme know on some facts and how tos if ya got any, and maybe even some tips and what not to dos :3

I would veg it as is, with no more cutting or tying for 2 weeks then flower it.

You would veg it for the two weeks for it to recover from any stresses that have been put upon it, then it will be allowed to flower happily.
At least I would if I were given your plant. I would veg it until it was at least a foot or 18 inches tall, then I would flip it to flowering. Even if you tie it down. (Only tying to main shoot, not the off shoots...) Eventually the lower branches equal the height of the main branch. Thats when I would flower it. When it is all even and pretty and bushy.

you read bad information. sorry man... LST requires no cutting of the plant at all...
is that's the case, wouldn't the plant take even longer to do any kind of growing since it had to concentrate on diverting it's energies into the bigger structures?

No need to get fussy bro, it was just a thought. My plant vegged for 3wks and was far more developed and I also lst'd. What nutes were you using?

You really did read some bad info! How is taking away its energy producers good for the plant? And lst doesnt take long to take notice of change. Within 2 days you start to see adaptations. You still have a chance to save her. Get some organic fert high in nitrogen to help her with new growth and keep the light on.

What breeders did you get em from?

loll, it's the internet, no way i'm getting fussy? xP
anyway, i'm not using any (just used MG azalea mix 30-10-10 1/4 strength) for the past month now they've just been eating up whatws in the FF OF soil

Just think of your theory in this way....

If you were going to cut the sun leaves off... Why let them grow to full size before you cut them? I would see the energy diverted if you cut them off while they were small maybe, but letting the plant use the energy to produce complete leaves before you cut them off, isn't that wasted energy in your eyes?...

I'm not a complete prude, topping a plant is a way to have multiple colas, and do some weird things with some mutants. However, I just want you to be able to grow some decent bud and learn to be one of the good ones.

These plants are so strong against all the things us people have learned to do to them... It's not too late, you can let the new leaves grow out and support your plant.
You want there to be big fat sun leaves, so when it stops sucking up nutrients in the root system at the end of flowering there is enough nutrients stored in the leaves for it to make big phat juicy crystal filled buds. Leaves are nutrient storage for later.

I'd like to think pictures are more than words.
I tied down for a long time, then untied it in the early part of flowering. I never cut sun leaves. My goal is to bend the main stem of the plant and make a complete circle around the pot. I seen it in a picture once...

even with all of that info, i suppose i may have cut off a little much and even recently the fan leaves went, i suppose i could've just toppd once and let it do it's business, i mean i'm not looking for some kind of monster plant like that, i just wanted something i could smoke for some time maybe like some oz's or so, but hopefully in the next 2 weeks growth will triple (seems to happy) and i will not cut anymore. now i do have questions, wtf are nutes for? i mean i get the point of npk and all that but this piranha and grow big and tiger bloom wtf does it really do? i walked in a hydro shop one day and read and asked and the dude was like oh more isn't always better (i just think he was trying to sell me garbage for a lot of money)

Oh and as for the WW, somehow my pipe cleaner topped her early in life so she's just now kicking her grow period off, so then whe my new seeds come in, and i lst them, i am not supposed to cut off anything?? then ig youtube has some pretty shitty growers&google doesn't really supply much help. problem is wouldn't it take longer for the entire plant to grow since it need energy diversion to be spread throught the entire plant? like this guy did? see, all is cut off but to the topsLST.jpg1_plant2.jpgsees?

yeah true true but where the fan leaves were didn't seem to important nor necessary like, there were only 1 true pair of big fan leaves and it seems to not be doing much but just being there sucking up food for nothing, aye nothing against you, that's why i am here and posting. i got more seeds on way and gladly the lst'd plant was a give away xD)

but more importantly you were saying i didn't need to tie down the side shoots? why is that? as in the pic above the guy didn't either, so then what would be the point in tying those down? i copied what i saw off websites and shtuff, pics and what not looked nice so i was like, OH THIS IS HOW ITS DONE

I've searched on here a lot. I've grown now, I can comfortably say, enough. I'd say 4 or 5 whole "crops". I've only grown crappy bud once, and it was because I couldn't afford to replace the crappy lights I decided to buy.

You will only need nutrients if you plan to grow in the same pot of soil you planted the seed in, and only if that pot is 6 inches in diameter or smaller. If you are growing in a pot that is taller than the plant you intend to grow, you will probably need barely any nutrients. If you plan on transplanting your plant twice or more into soil that has nutrients built in, you do not need to add nutrients.

I just plant the seed, water it. When I start seeing either yellowing leaves, or slow growth, or lots of roots sticking out of the bottom of the pot, then I will transplant or fertilize.

I grew my current grow, from February to June starting in soil without nutrients, fertilized them once, put them in soil with nutrients, gave them some fertilizer from a free sample 3 times over the course of 3 weeks, after they had already been in that soil for a month, then they got one watering with molasses, other than that, just water.
They are in 3 gallon pots, and have been doing just fine.

The mixes of products at the grow shop are very name brand, but any plant fertilizer adds to the plants available nutrients as long as its not overdone.
