Ok i topped my plants and i want to clone one of them, is it as simple as putting the cut off in some good dirt and throw some water on it

i cut about three nodes down from the top at a 45 degree angle, trim bottom two sets of leave off even with the stalk, dip in water then root hormone then stick a pencil in some good moist potting soil. place the cutting in then pack soil around it tightly. mist with water a couple times a day for about a week. they will never wilt if done right. usually dont take but a week or two and they are off and running. i also keep mine in the bathroom for about a week. the humidity is better in there and they dont get too much direct sun light.

yes, it really can be that easy.. i once read an article in ht's where this is exactly what they did.. you'd need to probably put a dome over them and mist them a couple of times a day if i remember the article right, but it can be done that way..
or you can even just cut them, and put them in a cup of water.. in a week to ten days, you should have roots and it's ready to transplant..

i am also in the midst of cutting some clones....i was wonder if when you cut the clone and cover with a dome, what light cycle would i put the clones on?
and how long abouts until i can transplant them?

I'm relatively new to this game, but I agree completely with Tigercat. For the last 3 cloning rounds, I've averaged about a 75% success rate. Only thing I would add is maybe put some sort of humidity dome over the pot for the first week. I used a small clay pot, with a shallow plastic dish on the bottom and just place a deep plastic dish on top. Maybe about $7 per clone for the containers.
