alright everybody! extraction is the game! QWISO is running up first, it means, an extraction made with high grade ethyl alcohol, or iso if you need to. Let's go and see what kind of QWISO you got from yer different bags of weed.

Mine is from White Rhino. I get 96% ehtyl alcohol here. I'm thinking of doing WW next

I have butane in a little refill bottle but I'm kind of scared of messing with that in my room as I don't really get the house to myself.

Twice this week I was evaporating the alcohol off on a tripod I built over a tin of sterno out on my windowsill -_-;

I would have taken pictures but all the ISO threads were old so I just smoked it all...

Yeah, having the ISO over a flame I can't see was nuts enough, but at least it was ventilated. I can see far too much going wrong with butane even before I want to introduce any kind of ignition source. I'm not going there.

i dont have any incriminating pics but i just made some qwiso from some duff came out extreamly gold a little darker than i wanted but i got a nice yield dident weigh it but it was about a gram it crystalized and became very stable has a touch of vape tast but fuck is it ever potent made from like 5 or 6 different kinds of kush myn friends all like bho but have no idea what there doing so i usualy do it for them so they dont blow themselfes up i made a realy nice batch about a week ago with some sourdiesel shit was pretty insaine it would knock your head off if you wernt ready for the hoot.

I let my qwiso get cured 2x in the oven like I said above, then I put it in a cleaned out Vick tin and let it cure there for a few days, now it's like jelly. The first pic is actually after just one cure of 6 minutes in the oven at 220f-ish.

I love making myself some ISO out of the sugar leafs when I harvest. Nothing like it IMO.. stuff is very potent and one maybe two hits (depending on tolerance levels) and your stoned. I love the stuff! Love it Love it Love it!

I let my qwiso get cured 2x in the oven like I said above, then I put it in a cleaned out Vick tin and let it cure there for a few days, now it's like jelly. The first pic is actually after just one cure of 6 minutes in the oven at 220f-ish.

I wouldn't suggest you using the oven bro. Temps that high will evaporate the THC/hash.. your wasting some of your ISO yield. The best thing to do is.. get your mixture mixed up really well.. get one coffee filter and one (or two depending on quantity your making) ceramic plate (I personally use an old ceramic dinner plate).

Now, simply strain the mixture through the coffee filter.. and let it run out of the bottom of the coffee filter, onto the ceramic plate. The more golden it is.. the better the quality will be. That's what I've found in my experience with making ISO hash.

Once you have the mixture filtered through the filter and onto the ceramic plate.. all you need to do now is let it slowly evaporate on its own. Usually, this can take place within 24 hours.. maybe a little longer or even a little sooner depending on the conditions. Mine usually is ready to scrape and smoke within 24 hours.

Putting it in the oven.. sure, speeds up the process.. but you also lose some potency and even some THC. So again, IMO.. the best way to do it is to just let it sit overnight and evaporate on its own accord. The final product will be 10x better.. than if you use the oven method to speed up the drying process.. which again, is another reason why I highly suggest not using the oven method.

today I ran just BHO and no shakey qwiso teks. I'mma put up the picture any moment now. ISO is great, but I'm still interested in getting an oil that's even more potent, even if just by 1/3 potency, a lot of people swear by BHO because it is the newest method. I cured this one 3x in the oven, to make sure all the Butane was gone. Peace

Thx for explaining how you do with golden ISO. I do relatively similar steps, and I let the alcohol/bho evaporate over night. However the oven step was added because I can't actually "whip" up the oil, I make just a few grams at a time, and I would like to be ONE HUNDRED % sure that all the chems evaped out. I understand that cold evaps are nice for THC, but because of oils consistancy, it can trap tiny bubbles or pockets of your bho or alcohol. Now I don't know for sure bout that because I don't have a 1,000,000 dollar gas specter machine to analyze it like I would dream of, so yea I am going to try to make my next batch this weekend without the oven, and I will check the taste. Right now the new stuff I just made last night is so smooth on my throat, I haven't coughed yet. I have a high tolerance typically... and just one hoot got me that feeling of a good stone beginning to creep up behind my eye brows. Peace! gonna post new oil up in a few minutes. I noticed the oil gets a little darker from ovening for a few minutes. Damn! i don't want to burn THC but evaporating all the chemicals is the name of the game.

umm for all your evap troubles boil some water in a pot and put the plate ontop of it after like 5 min it will be compleatly evaporated and the temp of steam im pretty sure canot exceed 100 degreese because thats waters boiling point so steam i think can only be 99 degreese and thc starts to degrade at 175 personal experiences.

hey buddy, I hear that some people have "filtered" their already bought hash by diluting the hash you bought with some warm alcohol, warmed to about 130F without flame ok, after the mix of hash and high grade alcohol is a brown mix, if you begin to add some RO water, bottle water to the warm mix, you will notice black pools floating on the top. you cleverly remove the water that the oil is floating on, or collect the oil with a credit card , and then put the oil out on a glass, where you can then heat it again to 130ishF to continue evaping any further moisture. I'm evaping some ISO now. Problem is, you can't really extract anything from a hash block with BHO because... it's just going to turn into a brown rock by all the coldness. Seems BHO works best only on plants, sorry bro

Thanks for the info man that really helped, next time I get my hands on a good ammount of bud and have smoked enough and made all the cooking things I want I'm for sure giving this a try, I imagine the high is a little different than smoking.
