Question from Noob

Ok guys I have spent the last 2yrs trying to grow and have had no luck I have tried
a pc grow box and just recently T12 fluorescents with no luck and am really starting to get pissed off.So I am buying a 150w HPS light that has 16000 lumens.Can I use this for veg and flowering--thanks appreciate the advice--peace

you never had a chance under t12's. yes you can veg and flower under an hps. MH is preferred but hps will work just fine especially for a small scale grow.

I use t8's and my plants are doing just fine. CFL and FLORO's work, just not as well as HPS or MH. It might be something besides your lights that is messing up your grow. Bugs? Hot Soil? PH? The strain your growing? Are you over/under watering? There is more to it than lighting, you might want to check all your bases before spending more money on lighting that might not fix your problem.

I understand what you meant to say, you left out one part. MH for veg is preferred.

I agree, any light will grow plants, maybe not to the full potential, but i don't believe the light was your limiting factor.
