I Feel That Dispensary's Are A Rip Off

I want to start by saying that dispensary's are a huge if not the biggest rip off we have ever seen and here is why.
nothing has change in fact things have gone worse now that we have the biggest MIDDLE man ever. see before lets just say the marijuana got shipped from all over the place mexico, Hawaii, Colombia. you get it. also the quality of the product was not the best since it came in bricks and god knows what that brick went through just to make it to the united states and of course be sold for profits.
so the prices in the street lets just say it goes for $20.00 dollars a gram but that cover all the cost and of course some profits.
Now when the dispensary don"t have to continue to charge 20.00 dollars a gram like how the street dealers do why? because
states that allowed medical marijuana also allow patients and care givers to grow POTENT QUALITY good genetics marijuana in there own closets so that takes the risk of getting some swag weed that had to cross the border.
as there is no more middle just the grower and the dispensary now when you go buy your gram for 20 dollars was it really worth it now? i mean i see the argument about how hard it was to get marijuana in the united states and thats the reason of those high prices. but now what is the excuse? you guys still charge the same amount of money for a product that doesnt face the same issues of the past and its cost.
I know all of the people that own dispensary weed never wana see marijuana completely legal and i see why it will slash all of there profits
people open your eyes there is just things that are too out of control
whats the difference between a greedy CEO and a greedy dispensary owner?
i dont see none. being LEGAL or illegal
we are just paying too much for a weed that is exactly what it is a WEED
im sure if everybody will get tired of over paying and i hope we can build a better system than our current.

in conclusion i feel that the only way to stop this LEGAL DEALERS. thats is to open our eyes and grow our own supply and stop relaying on government structures to tell us what and how and where to do our medicine

There is still a middle man in the medical world. It's called the vender. The guy who gets product from growers and delivers it to dispensaries. He wants profit to cover costs of travel. The clinic itself (unlike a street douche dealer) pays for rent, utilities, security, and etc (so your girly ass doesn't get mugged). Sure they want a profit... But they also NEED it to stay in business. Some clinics grow their own, with no need for a vender (hooray cheaper prices). Just like finding a solid, not a ripoff, good dealer... You're gonna go through some shady clinics to find a good one.

They have a business to run, expenses to pay, and employees to pay as well. What is so hard to understand about that? I guess it'd be fine if they paid no one, and everyone volunteered 9 hours of their day to NOT make money. Yeah that'd work great (sarcasm) for people to survive. Or they could just have one guy with no building slanging weed... Oh wait that defeats the whole purpose of an elderly lady being able to safely get medicine. What you need to do is stop looking at clinics from a dumb stoner's point of view and realize clinics are NOT FOR YOU and your fake ass insomnia and aches and pains. You're just lucky enough to be able to get a card from a wonky system (which is great for smokers not wanting to break any laws).

And last time I checked, every street dealer is $20 a gram in SoCal and $50 an eighth. Three clinics I visit and do business with never sell anything over $65 a quarter ounce for top shelf. $50-$100 an ounce for smokeable mids. Any clinic still at $20-25 a gram and $450 an ounce is blatently ripping people off, yes. BUT, like I said... you have to find a good clinic just like a good dealer. Only difference is a dealer makes 100% of his ripoff prices... Clinics have to price by expenses, THEN whatever profit they can TRY and squeeze in.

We just had a dispensary open here in my town, which aren't even legal in OR yet, but for some reason they are letting them stay open. they sell their shit for $10 a gram. they have a decent strain list but when I saw the nugs they looked like shit. they advertise it as organic indoor but it looks like neglected outdoor guerrilla bud, all the nugs had the shittiest trim jobs. they also only sell it by the gram but none of it is prepackaged. each strain is separate on the shelf in a big 2 gal clear glass jar! right next to a window with the sunlight hitting them too! you tell them what you want and they just put it out of the jar, weigh it up and put it in a ziplock bag. the place is a total joke.

i think the gripe is generally with the AMOUNT of mark-up. idc if one makes a profit. i hope they DO. Less of a draw on the state imo. BUT, nobody NEEDS a mid to high 6 figure salary to "live". A 50% or 100% markup is cool. But a 400+% markup is just downright greedy and not called for.

If a grower can grow good enough weed to get $15 a g when there is $5 g's out there everywhere too then awesome! But he should have to compete in a free market. That's yet ANOTHER reason to vote for Ron Paul in 2012 AND the Regulate Marijuana Like Wine ballot initiative in Cali. There are $1000 bottles of wine and there are $2 bottles of wine. If one wants the $15 g, cool. And he'll find some he likes too. But there are MANY out there that would die for affordable medicine. Yes, medicine. And meds should NOT be for obscene profit imho.
