I do it all the time
I have a volcano digital..... and right now I have like 10 strains on hand (i counted lol)
Nothing beats homegrown, the Tangerine Dream i'm growing was fucking incredible out of the volcano...
But you really taste the flavors in good buds, like blueberry lemon skunk, disels, etc. If you smell it on the weed you will TASTE it heavily in the volcano.
Right now I like mixing up DJ shorts FLO, with this Pineapple I have... works really well and the high reflects both buds... leaves you with a very balanced head high with chilled out relaxing feelings...
Most I did was 6 strains in one volcano bowl, and I swear you could pick apart every high from each bud.... The body relaxation from the afgoo, the headiness from the Green Crack, the floating effect of the Blue Dreams, and the smooth effect of the cheese.... all in one bag

not to mention the way some flavors compliment each other in a cross. Some of the tastiest buds I've had was Bubbleberry (BLueberry x Bubblegum)and both tastes were very clear. Unfortunately I didn't like the high at all, and I'm not saying it wasn't potent.I do it all the time

I've had luck with molasses (unsulfured) added with liquid feeding during flowing stage. This imparts its sweet essence to the bud. Other organic additives are dried lemon or orange (grapefruit should also work well) peel added during the curing process. Other dried fruit may also work as well.

You sure? I know a lot of people here would argue with you on that...
If you think molasses in your water changes the taste of the bud, why not add fresh squeezed lemon or orange to your water to get the buds to "change flavor" that way? Or how about adding Kool-aide, for that matter?

I find a dry toke on a freshy joint gives the best representation of the flavor of weed. Pinching the flower will release odors hidden in the bud. Some goodness smells all by itself.
One female I found smells just like cherry cough drops.
Molasses has a roll in the final weeks but also helps feed bacteria and It can add to the sweetness of the smoke, it also gives a good carbo load to the plant.
