Hey guys I don't know if this is because i'm not feeding them enough, or cause i'm feeding them too much. i don't think its cause I am overfeeding.

Heres my Stats:

May 22nd: 310 PPM - PH:5.8 (Yesterday at feeding was 5.5)
Currently 17 Days from seedling.
Temp Range: 21-24 Celsius.
Humidity Range: 45-60
Using 25% Lucas Formula currently and building up to 100% over the week.
Watering once a day @ 1 Hr after lights on for 15 Minutes in EBB Flow.
Under 1000w MH bulb, @600w Power. 1 Ft away.

(Heres my journal this is what they looked like yesterday: https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/430235-my-first-grow-super-lemon.html)

Heres the pictures:

Note how one is smaller and looks like a completely problem then the rest, believe it or not that plants looked like this since first week. Thats hurtin JR. He germed like a week after all the rest did.

Any help appreciated!
Thank you ahead of time.

After many hours of reading and turmoil, I flushed the entire system (Including a new res). Set up a new tank of 50% 0-8-16 @ 25 Gal.
Moved the light from 1 ft to 1.5 ft... to try to reduce the stress.
PPM is @ 600. I am banking this is a deficiency and not a over dosing of the nutrients, I am fairly confident in this due to the fact that the
lower leafs were the only ones that were affected and that it did not really stunt the growth of the plants. Judging by the last 24 hours, it seems
that that plant is leaching from the lower levels to support newer growth....

Any comments or ridicule on my decision?

I would LOVE some feedback.

wrong ferts, the food you posted has no nitrogen in it which is ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT NUTRIENTS FOR PHOTOSYNTHESIS

when they are that small I don't worry much about ph, fertilizing, or really anything... all they need is water an light. I do start worrying about everything once they are larger. Every plant I've ever grown has lost its bottem few sets of leaves before really taking off. Also, when they are small, I grow them under a couple of 20w t12 lights. I don't bring them under my big light until they have like 7+ sets of leaves.

no way... I hate kids. just kidding. i'd give it water... I only start feeding when they have a few sets of leaves... but even then, I don't worry too much about ph. I have 5 seedlings in front of me.. all of them have their bottom set of leaves wilting. The top sets of leaves all look fine. I think the more serious thing this guy needs to look into is growing baby plants under intense lights.

Well, so far all these posts have been fairly unhelpful, the formula i posted does have nitrogen.. its actually 0-8-16 which is ML's per Gal of GH Grow-Micro-Bloom...
Micro has plenty of nitrogen to support the plant life.....

In Hydro setups... Im pretty sure you do need to pay attention to the PH level of the water from day one... Keeping it in a range of 5.5-6.5 and the later being a extreme case,
anything above or under can cause some serious lockout of nutrients and cause a deficiency. So... yes.. PH is important at that stage and you should never ignore it.

The light is 18 inches away from the plants now and cooled... That should be fairly easy on the 2 week old plants... It was pushing at a distance of 1 st and I realize that now.

But it is not unknown to go from seed on under a HID.

So... If anyone... can actually give me some sound advice... and not just speculate.... talk about baby's photosyntheses or argue amongst them selfs would be dandy.

Nitrogen is a macronutrient not a micronutrient so if your using micro it's not enough... YOUR LACKING NITROGEN.. Your first number represents nitrogen and what you posted is 0 which means it has not nitrogen in it, sounds like a bloomer or bloomer additive

ditto max. awsome pic btw. My younger plants are in a mini greenhouse growing in coco plugs with 2 t12 (?) flourescent lights. when I say I don't worry about the ph when they are young I mean that I don't break out my ph meter. When they first start out I use FILTERED tap water that I know has a ph of about 6.7. When they have 4 or 5 sets of leaves I mix a 1/2 tsp of nutes (I use general hydroponics floranova) per gallon of UNFILTERED tap water and just assume its somewhere between 5.5 and 6.7... I've never run into problems. sure I could adjust the ph to be optimal, but I dont do that until I transplant into my growing medium (hydroton and coco). At that point I only feed them with nutes/water at a ph of 5.8-6.0. I've never heard of anyone starting seeds in hydroton. Good idea with the light... I would even move it further away. when they are that young intense light is dangerous. But again, max seems to be right about the nitrogen.

You'll probably wanna get that meter out soon, nutes are ph'd low to have a longer shelf life and I have found that they like to really lower your ph..

max... I'm not the one having problems. ;-) I know when I mix 1 tsp of floranova grow and 1 ml of floricous+ to a gallon of straight tap water my ph is 5.8. So... if I'm only adding 1/2 tsp of floranova and no floricious+ my ph has to be above 5.8. If I was running into problems I might break out my meter to check my ph, but I am not. again though... I do check my ph regularly once I transplant and really start to grow.

kryptkeeper. I would look at different nutrients (I use floranova grow... I think its 7-4-10). Any growing nutrients will have similar numbers to that.

Yeah, It was a Magnesium and Calcium deficiency....
Went to the local hydro shop... added some last night...
It stopped....Plants are greener and lookin good.

Thanks all for your attempted help!
Appreciate it!
