i've got a indoor grow with enough room for 1, maybe 2 plants. 2ft x 3ft,

the strongest light i could find was, 22W > 103W.

would one alone be enough? or two? thats is its even good enough?

if this is isn't good enough, could you please send me a link to what i do need?

the link below takes you to a similar light

you are probly gonna want like 4 of those, but when you first start you can tottally get away with one or two. Just as the plant gets bigger you may need more for sidelighting. just remember that with cfls' they only penetrate like 2 to 3 inches, so you have to have them really close to get a decent yeild, what does your setup look like? I recommend an old pc for a first grow

' I recommend an old pc for a first grow' pc as is computer? lol

thanks, didnt realise about CFLs pentrating that! :D

at the moment my grow idea consists of http://www.johnlewis.com/254799/Product.aspx

gonna add reflexive sheeting stuff on the inside of the lid and the sides, and two of the above lights.

do i need to add a fan of some sort in there?

4-5 hundred of those should be enough.
But seriously, get some CFL's. The 26W usually have a good spectrum for vegging. Then mix in some 42's (redder light) when flowering. Bathroom light strips that hold 5-6 lights work best in small spaces. Habitat for Humanity stores have them for about $2-3. You can get 15 lights in that space.
Not sure I'd try 1 large plant in there. Unless you go with a 400W HID you're going to have light penetration problems. Of course, with the HID you have the ventilation headaches. You might want to investigate SOG or SCROG. 3-4 plants under a screen would work very well with CFLs in a 2x3. Keep it simple and go with soil or Promix and you should be swimmin in buds in no time.
Good luck,
Fred

you could even get a 250 hps light for 1-2 plants and get a good yeild, and there not that expensive, plus buy the time you add enough 22 watt cfl your going to be close to useing 250 watts anyway,

tons of little cfl's are just a waste of money. The light output is not efficiently used, they're 100% toxic if you break em, and it just makes a rat's nest of a setup. Finally, the harvest from CFLs is usually underwelming, both it quantity and quality. Do yourself a favor and get a 250W or a 400W HID balast and reflector and then pat yourself on the back for doing things the right way. It might seem more expensive initially, but it will pay for itself in the first two grows with the killer buds you'll get. IMHO.

High Discharge, I'd get a 150 watt high pressure sodium yard light from home depot and splice an old power cord onto it so you can plug it in to a wall socket. It takes a lot of light to grow buds. You could start off with the cfl though for a few weeks get a 6500 K Daylight type.
