I am going to grow 6 plants want to know witch is better for that? I have found some good deals on the 600W but beter deals on the 400W I have a good size grow room to use any advice????

what about fluorescents? would they be ok to use then use hps to flower???

You could but from my experience I would just stick with the HPS they work alot better. I would also use a 600w light. My own rule is have 100w per plant. Good luck on what ever you choose to do.

i just wanted to use the fluoros to veg so i dont have to buy a MH set and i heard not to veg with the HPS bulb

Don't listen to them. If you're trying to save money, use the HPS, they veg just fine.
I veg with fluoros, but that's only because the heat footprint is more convenient for my 2 chamber grow setup.

600 much over the 400, go with the 1000w or 1500w if you can,.
