Did I hear bud porn I'm subd
Thanks for the info!Heyup Honkeycorn, just use an equivalent wattage hps magnetic ballast to the bulb you want to use. For instance a 400w CMH bulb would work in a 400w hps magnetic ballast. Don't use digital ballasts the bulb will not ignite. Hope this helps.
No worries man, you thinking of getting one? Thanks for the info!
Well, maybe in the future, just always good to be informed as to whats on the market these days. Was just curious. No worries man, you thinking of getting one?
Sweet, did you grow these? Pretty impressive, how long have they been in flower? If ya like that... here is some more bud porn..

Ya, these were some mixed pics from some Jinn plants (fucking incredablexbubblegum) Mostly Indica, I finished like a month and a half ago. I think they were flowered for 9 weeks and a bit. Tasty as fuck really tasted like and smelled bubblegum even was real "gummy" of resin in the nugs.Sweet, did you grow these? Pretty impressive, how long have they been in flower?
What you grow them under mate? Sound and look epic. CFL for veg, hps for flower. What you grow them under mate? Sound and look epic. Good job buddy!
Cool they look mighty fine. What wattage CFL and HPS did you use? If it was a 150w do you know what the kelvin temperature of the bulb is? I was thinking of doing a hps + cmh combo but all the 150w bulbs like son-t 150w are all 2000k not sure they would be so good for flowering.CFL for veg, hps for flower.
first half of veg was 2 42w CFL`s, second half of veg I added 2 more to bring the total to four. Then flowered under a 250w HPS.Cool they look mighty fine. What wattage CFL and HPS did you use? There were 4 plants under the lights listed, 3 Jinn and one Skunk.Honkey, that plant looked great for having been vegged under just a couple of cfls, was it the only one in that round or were there others?
Sorry I didn't explain my self very well if I was to put a 150 hps with the 150 cmh I wouldn't use the cupboard I got already. I would get a bigger one. I remove all the leave from under the screen to improve air flow and plus the 150 doesn't have enough strength to penetrate that far with any real positive gain the leaves just use up energy. All the bud are there though, so hoping for some nice popcorn from under the screen, maybe to make hash with.Hey ryzla, the space you have is about how much I ended up using last time so it'll be interesting to compare. Granted the overall cab was larger but I had it stuck in a corner by itself. Be careful if you want to add a hps in there with your cmh, even a 150 hps gets pretty hot. Using a remote ballast will probably help a good bit but still gonna heat things up. And yay bud porn! How's the growth underneath looking so far?

This part is important as it can mean the difference from a nice crop to a bbq. My advice would be to spend a little extra on something you know is safe and won't potentially cause a fire. It still unlikely that the cheap ballast you can buy made in China to go up in flames but this is not a risk worth taking. Spend a little extra on an American or EU certified parts can save you a lot of hassle in the long run. Always check that the parts have a CE mark in Europe or the UK, or a FC mark in the USA, this means that its is legal requirement of the importer to maintain technical and test data for inspection by the authorities. It mean the components have been through vigorous testing to make sure they are safe.Hey ryzla, question on behalf of a buddy who is thinking about going the 150w route. What kind of ballast are you using? I know its got to be an HPS magnetic ballast, but I was curious to hear if you had any recommendations on brand/type. Also, how big is the ballast and how much heat does it put off? Thanks in advance.
Ohh haha okay yeah in that case I'd say go for it, my favorite thing about the little hps is that bulbs are only around 10 bucks. Idk you might get decent penetration through a bit, from what I've read a 150 is useful to about 12 inches from the bulb.Sorry I didn't explain my self very well if I was to put a 150 hps with the 150 cmh I wouldn't use the cupboard I got already. Thanks for taking the time to answer my question, ryzla. My buddy might not be working with enough space to actually rock a 150 (PC grow,) but the info you provided was helpful either way. This part is important as it can mean the difference from a nice crop to a bbq. I can't remember exactly where I bought mine but I checked everything was sound before I paid. Its not that big, mounted to a metal plate 15cm by 10cm. It does heat up a bit though, not too hot to touch but hot enough to feel it. Hope this helps your buddy.
