Doesn't make sense to me either. I mean thats wasted energy the plants using to create seeds. How is diverting energy from just pure bud production to producing seeds making the smoke MORE potent? Sounds like stoner science to me lol

"As I have said in other post it is important for Medical patients/growers to set aside ALL of the blackmarket crap, myths, hype and Bullshit and to think outside the box when it comes our medicine. In the black market it is all about look, bag appeal, smell and wieght. Males and Hermies are culled out and undesirable, most folks tend to associate these things with swag and think that it is a bad thing.
The truth is and those that breed know this, that seeded pot is MORE POTENT and FINISHES FASTER, the mango that I forced into having sex with the mind bender had amber trichs in week 6. The other thing is the nature of the resin and trichs change a bit after all the plant is now in mama bear mode protecting its young uns and with UVB present she will get frosty as all hell.
And I hear you saying WTF does this have to do with hermies? well hermies make seeds and are therefore more potent and we're not selling it so why should we worry about bag appeal? The other plus is now you have mutt seeds and no longer need to worry about the risk of ordering them online. If you have several strains going and one hermies and mixes with others now you have different F1 crosses to play with and you really just never know whether or not one of those crosses might be the best damn pot you ever smoked?
Ahh but there is more, if you get a hermie and only take steps to remove nanners or balls from the top buds in the canopy and allow the lower smaller popcorns to seed the top buds will get bigger, This is also true if you collect pollen and seed the lower buds of a non hermie. I like to think of this in human terms, we all know that the plant builds the buds in preperation for potential breeding and if unpollinated she tends to give up towards the end, the white hairs die off and she throws less and less out till we harvest her. Not true of seeded plants she will keep tryin and here is how I see this. a young teen age girl has a poster of the beeber dude hangin on the wall, she has all of his cd's, she looks at the poster everyday and imagines that her crush on him is real, she plays his songs and sighs while wishing if only? Same girl goes to a beeber concert and sees him for real screams herself into a tizzy fit of hormones ragin. Our plant prepares and hopes for a male, none shows up she gives up and dies, if one shows up she screams herself into a tizzy saying pick me pick me. Ahh but what happens when a ud does not get picked but knows there is a male present? She tries even harder to attract him, she swells, she throws out more white hairs, she pumps out more resin, she uses every feminine trick she has to make that damn boy take notice and when he doesn't she tries even harder..."
