Looks pretty cool. I hope they do a good job with it.
The guy playing Conan is the guy in Game of Thrones right? I thought I read that somewhere, but it's hard to tell in the trailer.

“You fool”! He all but whispered. “I think you never saw a man from the West before. Did you deem yourself strong, because you were able to twist the heads off civilized folk, poor weaklings with muscles like rotten string? Hell! Break the neck of a wild Cimmerian bull before you call yourself strong. I did that, before I was a full-grown man—like this!”

Loved Frank Frazetta's cover art

wow, thnx for the heads up on that green, i didnt know they were doing this remake.

Collin Farrell as the lead though? we will have to see how it looks down the road.
I don't think it'll be as good as the original. Total Recall was one of my favorites as a kid.

I was excited about the Clash of the Titans remake. And then disappointed when I saw it.

It's amazing how many movies are being remade these days.....

Apparently they're remaking An American Werewolf in London. That still is one of my favorites.

And, they're remaking Child's Play.

looks lame,u must be like 12 ..
I was about 7 when the first movie came out.
The violence in that movie was unheard of at the time.
They had to tame it down cause it had an X rating.
Oliver stone helped write it. James Earl Jones played Thalsa Doom.
The budget for it was HUGE for the day. ( Masive palace sets an Robot SNAKES!!!)
If yall had seen it in the day you could appreciate it more.

I went from hating reading to Plowing thew Conan novels.
That shit tought me that books can be cool.
Teachers dont teach that.
Maybe Ill get my son one after the movie an see if he will read it....

I was very much the same way. I remember in the late 60's picking up the books one at a time at a 7-11 store over the course of about a month and devouring each in just an evening or two. I'm pretty sure I would not have been motivated to read that much as a youngster with out Howards help. In addition he forced me to expand my vocabulary just by trying to understand what was being said as he used some pretty complex/large words & thus I found out what a dictionary was all about as well.
I was in my mid 20's when the first movie first came out & it was not close to my minds picture that the books had painted but I was awe struck with Arnold, & James Earl Jones was the perfect villain for that time.
Simpler times.
