Shopping List to switch to Hydro

Yeah I just keep a couple gallons brewing and use it inside and outside on the vegetables. I don't add organics to my res. just replenish the benies every day or so. I had some root issues in veg and the stuff worked like magic where H202 made it worse. It's sure is a better way to introduce that powdered Subculture root stuff. I use a lot less of it and it actually works when I brew it up.

Hygrozyme and bennies/microbe teas perform two different functions.

Both of them are beneficial in hydroponics.

Hygrozyme breaks down your dead roots and organic matter which helps prevent the colonization of harmful pathogens.

Beneficials microbes/fungus feed the plant roots as well as extending them. They also compete for the resources harmful pathogens use to breed again preventing harmful pathogens from getting a foothold.

I would use hygrozyme in hydro no matter what. As for the beneficials you should only use them if you are not using sterilization products in your reservoir such as h202, bleach, DMZone.

I personally use the beneficial organisms as they seem to work better, at least for me and my situation they do.

Right, I am learning. First grow and I jumped in with both feet and built (2) 8 bucket systems and learned how they worked as I grew. Looking to avoid these troubles on my next round.

And of course this is in addition to a normal nute schedule. The plants seem to like it.

Well then you know what I am talking about. I just would not feel comfortable using it. too many variables I like to go into my room and have everything as I left it the day before with minimal upkeep.

I don't know, it's working for me and it's dirt cheap....well, it's EWC and Dirt cheap. Reading up on all of this while dealing with my root problems I did get the sense that different solutions will have different results for different people. This is what worked for me and the results were drastic enough that I can't see myself not continuing to use it at least for the end of this first run. My veg system is all cleaned and sanitized for my next run and I have gained the knowledge to feel better about keeping problems away from the get go next time.
