You Govt Hard at Work, Screwing You

This administration isn’t out to help people Jeff. They may say they are but it’s clear by the policies it’s worked to create they want one thing control. They see industry as the enemy of the American people, not a partner. In Obama's book "Dreams from my Father" he tells about his only job in the private sector and how he felt like he was "behind enemy lines." It’s all about control and it’s all about government being the only solution to almost any problem.

We eat quite a bit of walleye during the annual trip to camp in northern Ontario. It's great for a freshwater fish!
i used to fish the delaware river for smallmouth bass.

you put a helgramite on the hook and it won't stay in the water for long.

take them home, chop into nuggets, fry 'em up.

by the way, fuck off jeff. you are out of your element.

Bud and Jeff do appear a bit out of their element when discussing this particular topic. Helgramites are a bitch to tie. I fly fish recreationally. We used them in the waters of Colorado, Wyoming, and Idaho. You can catch some damn big fish on those puppies.

We filet walleye and fry them in butter. :) My primary care doc came out year before last. He kept shaking his head, eating more, and sucking back 4 finger bourbons.

your govt is directly causing the price of fish to go up. right out in front driving the price of seafood up. do these cocksuckers have a soul:

someone please tell me how this helps the poor people?:wall:

SCREWED is right. We're now paying more for radiated seafood, which are also not the quality they were before. i.e. legal catching sizes go down on rockfish from 22 inches to 18...
GO BUY YOUR PUSS FILLED MILK.
go ahead and keep buying your heart disease in hydrogenated oils.

hard times ahead of us, wish everyone luck and peace.

So eat something else. If poor people can't afford fish, they can just eat cake or something.

Why not let them eat cake?

big golden stone flies! btw, colorado trout are pretty easy compared to their eastern brothers. these fuckers over here see about a hundred variations of flies a day. stealth and florocarbon are the only ticket for a big brown thats been hooked a few times. just sayin...

All the other manufacturers try to copy them, but none ever get it right, something about that Blue Fox Patent that makes it work so well. On good days I get a catch on every single cast, I can limit out on the trout in under 5 minutes while the guy next to me with his flies is going to be there all day. Even on the bad days when the fish are sluggish and won't strike anyone elses they still run after those Blue Fox's. By far the best cast and retrieve lure I have ever used.
Works great on Small and Large mouth bass too.

not according the fishing industry in maine? your fishery is entirely different. maine has been managing this for hundreds of years and all the sudden it gonna be over.....somethings wrong.

not saying its take on fishing. my point is, your govt is purposely raising the cost of fish. thats the point. fishing is one sport that regulates itself. more fishing pressure less fish to catch less boats go out, less fish caught, fish recover, and the whole thing starts over. always has since the beginning of time in most cases.

this is not only stupid, but directly costing you more to eat. fuck these people HELPING ME, fuck them
Do you actually live in Maine Jeff?
Have you EVER worked a single day as a commercial fisherman?
Do you know any commercial fisherman in Maine?

Heres why I ask Jeff. I live in Maine, I worked as a commercial fisherman and many of my friends are fisherman/lobstermen. The catch limits arent the problem here and are not what alll my friends are bitching about.

Wanna know the real problem, whats really hurting them?

1. Fuel costs
2. Unfair pricing and size limits on lobsters from Canada, NH and Massachusetts.

Quit bitching?

Dude, you have no idea what the life of a fisherman is do you? Not too much lobster or ocean for that matter in Lewiston., so your opinion is worthless landlubber....I got an idea Jeff, why dont you come down here and tell them yourself you wise ass. I think you'd look good stuffed into a trap and sinking to the floor of the ocean :-)

But seriously Jeff, the major problem is price and size competition from Canada, Mass, and NH......They can sell large lobsters that cant be harvested in Maine. The fuel thing is also a concern, there arent any "renuable" fuel pumps at the marina here, although it is a good idea. Im gonna suggest it to my friends.

Right now a gallon of diesel is only 50-60 cents cheaper than a pound of lobster at retail forget about actual boat price.

BTW I gotta ask as a Mainer, whats your take on Lepage? Like or hate him?

it sounds like we are in agreement though, regulations are the problem...
