Drying Inside a Computer

Hi,

I've just done my first harvest. I only ended up with one plant, so I was just wondering how to go about drying it. I've got a computer that's on 24/7, so I figured it's warm, dark, got great airflow, why not in there. All my searches turn up results for quick drying and stealth pc boxes, but that's not really what i'm after. I'm just after an answer as to whether it's ok to dry my buds in a computer that's on 24/7.

Thanks in advance.

PS. Smell's not really an issue.

If you want bud that takes and smells like hay or lawn clippings, go ahead and quick dry. If the temperature in the PC is 80 degrees or higher you will also suffer THC degradation, but if speed is more important to you than quality, go ahead and do it. Heck, put it in a pillowcase and zip-loc the end closed and put it in your clothes dryer if you want ... it's yours to do with as you please even if what you want to do with it will take away from it, will degrade it, make it less enjoyable in several ways.

Like brick top said, that's basically going to quick dry it, the high will probably short lived and will most likely taste/smell shitty. You want to dry your buds slowly, in a course of 3-7 days i've heard. And them stick them in jars once the bud is dry and the stem is still bendy and doesn't snap.

cheers for the replies. I've taken them out of the computer. It was never my intention to quick dry them, it was just sorta a dark place to dry them. Would tieing up a fishing line inside a filing cabinet draw and hanging them suffice? As long as i open it up a few times a day? Basically my dilemma is i've got a small study room to do all my growing, from start to finish. Ideally i'd have another cab for drying, but at the moment i just don't have the room. So that's why i'm trying to find places that are sorta out of sight but still within the office.

thanks again

Cabinet would work, you should have some airflow in there to prevent mold tho, no direct airflow onto the buds tho, they'll dry too fast if you do that.
