Typically when your statement begins with a "no man," there are differing opinions, and you think yours is correct.
i beleive the 'no man' was directed at me.
you really gotta try to decipher some of these posts by the punctuationaly challenged.
i don"t use caps often because i'm missing the top two segments of my left ring finger, but punctuation is still kinda important.

He said olympics, then proceeded to post like 6 sentences in different posts in a row, then I added to his statement of "olympics," then his response started off "no man" without any interjection from you between the time that olympics had been introduced to this thread and his response. Had you challenged his suggestion of olympic athletes being more physically fit than UFC champs, I would agree that he was obviously addressing you.

Is shifting with your left hand standard? I've always used my right ring finger and attain 140+WPM.

And since you obviously knew it was coming and I don't want to let you down, where'd your finger go?

i don't know where it went after it was off. but while i still had it it was badly damaged in a construction mishap involving something very heavy and another thing that wouln't move. namely an 8"x8"x16' post and a concrete pier with a metal stirrup/bracket imbedded. i don't really remember exactly what happened because i fell off the wall we were working on and impaled my calf on a fallen tree (building near tahoe). when i landed i was more concerned about the leg and couldn't really feel the finger until a few minutes later. it was an irreperable crush injury requiring an amputation. this was in 1999.

It's a good thing I don't have a weak stomach. I was hoping you did something stupid like a fella I was incarcerated with who had his big toe completely removed from pulling a lawnmower over it, but your situation downright sucks. Did workman's comp take of you? No way you get back into construction without a crucial finger I assume.

my boss took care of me out of pocket to save himself the insurance hike, plus he knew i smoked weed.
and no, the left ring finger is not a crucial finger in construction, it makes finger fucking nails a little tricky, but you get used to it.
i still have a bit of it left and it's not super sensitive to pain like a non surgical amputation can tend to be. i had a buddy lose most of an index finger in a drywall texture spray rig motor, it was removed on the spot and it causes him pain if he whaks it on stuff still.
we call eachother stubby.

At least you have a sense of humor about it. I know one thing I'd do with a nub finger is walk around and set my hand on strangers shoulders while asking them a question and make them feel uncomfortable.
