so to reiterate in girl-ese: NULL is like [blank]?

and should i roll around in the mini marshmallows before or after i cover myself in maple syrup?

just for all of your information i got a fake "newsletter" last month from "rollitup" at the WRONG FUCKING EMAIL, the same one i got the seed spam on, the same one i use for attitude (with whom i haven't placed an order in over a year). while riu may not have anything to do with it it does appear that mostly riu members are targeted. did anyone else get a fake rollitup newsletter last month at their attitude email?

hanging chad wha...... that was fake?

*hides envelope of anthrax*

so i *shouldn't be sending noxious white powders to that calgary address?

can't speak to the marshmallows, but [blank] is good description
kind of a sign of some computer hack that wasn't quite as nice as it could have been
something else should have been done for the 'no code' cases, but not all hackers are created equal

They most likely didnt account for whitespace in the database when aggregating the sites/email addresses together. Which is why some are blank and some say NULL.

Has nothing to do with the actual "hack."

After but before you put on the foil hat.
:)

well, duh, that goes without saying. you have to keep that thing pristine or else there's *interference* something fierce.

and yes, lumi, you would have to, i'm still leashed to your prince albert, after all.

could be, just referring to the finished product, the email
which sounds more like a phishing attempt, surprised i haven't seen this more often with seed banks, people just love new seed banks

omg...................no no no enough techgeek chatter.

yes yes yes but can we talk about the newsletter now? i didn't know it was a fake.... (except maybe the laughable "we're so happy you're so happy" stuff....)
i even talked about it to both of the female mods that get mentioned in it but neither of them said anything about how rolli hadn't sent out a newsletter....

Absolutely. I've been expecting to see something like this for a while. I use to know a few seedbanks who had their entire customer database open because of running outdated shoppingcart software.

Most of these new seedbanks starting dont understand the admin needed behind running a site. True for a lot of the bigger ones also though.

definately fake. i didn't click the links but i hovered over them and they were to some "aweber.com" bullshit. it was all about a rollitup promo but it conveniently never mentioned what seed bank it was for. it made it sound like rollitup was actually the one selling the seeds. rollitup does NOT have the email address that i got that newsletter at. the fucked up part is i haven't ordered from the tude in over a year. wtf are they saving my info for so long?

well i've NEVER ordered from attitude, or any seeds online, for that matter. the only reason i even remembered that newsletter was because when i searched 'seeds' in all my emails to see if i'd gotten the other spam in question, it came up. so if i got said newsletter (which i did), it was directly riu-related somehow, whether they actually sent it or got phished (or whatever it's called).
